Turn any non-red into a k-turn/sloop/not-quite-talon-roll, then drop an action bomb in the enemy's face. Think this combo has legs? I want to try it on Sol Sixa.
R4-E1 plus Lightning Reflexes
It's a one off combo; but sure, it could be a neat party trick if you can pull it off.
That is two upgrade slots both discarded (3 if it were not for bomblet generator) for a single one trick pony. There is a reason why "Geinus" wasn't used so much or why you don't find Guidance Chip on ships without Extra Munitions.

Genius was not used because the bomb you drop will hit you as well if you don't have double reposition (Or does bank to the side get you out of range 1? Can't remember...)
The Lightning Reflexes is the part I don't like either. It sounds great but isn't.
The R4-E1 is a protection against stress-control if you want to be primarily dropping mines. You don't have to discard him.
I would probably like him more if that discard him to remove a stress was not tied to the mine dropping. For that one-off surprise.
Hell, but dropping mines with a T-Roll sounds great.

Nah, you just need Engine Upgrade. Speed 1 + width of base + speed 1 takes you out of the range one bombing range IIRC. Genius will be awesome on Nym.
I've seen Genius run on a Bomb Loadout Kavil to good effect.

Ok, saltiness aside - I played an Extra Munitions, Proton Bomb Y-Wing with Genius in Epic and it was glorious. Pulled two Direct Hits on myself

I need to try this now. My opponent will be so scared of the kamikazi bombs, it'll almost be like having Biggs in Scum!

Only if everything lines up right. Problem with a build like that it televises exactly what trick you are trying to pull and people can avoid it. I'd perfer taking a BTL-A4 Thug with EM cluster mines, double tap then fly past and drop mines on them.
If you want a good trick that many don't see coming even with the upgrade wait for G4H to come out and put in your cloak device on Talonbane cobra. One turn I was able to decloak and 5K behind both Kenan and Biggs and lit up Biggs to a crater. My opponent never saw it coming, now that was a **** good trick.
