Has anyone ordered directly from Feldherr (Germany) to the US? We put in an order three plus weeks ago and still no update from DHL in three weeks. (from today)

Didn't know if that was normal for DHL or not.

Not US, but I put in an order from Feldherr's website to Sweden. Took about two weeks before it arrived.

As a sidenote, you can get the same quality raster foam far cheaper by buying raster foam meant for tool cases. I ran out of Feldherr foam and bought some 510 x 290 x 40 mm foam for a large toolcase for about $7 per sheet. It's more than double the foam for the price compared to Feldherr.

Thanks. I needed two Mini Plus cases for my Separatists and my Republic, and their new cases fit the bill. I had hoped they'd show up on Amazon again, but Feldherr on Amazon has been lacking the past 6 months here in the States.

I use Feldherr to store and transport my collection. I used to use a hardware trays but I ended up breaking cannons off of a B-Wing, Z-95, and most recently my poor Ghost. Upgraded to Feldherr last year and haven't looked back. I have to buy another tray or two once in a while, but I can fit quite a lot into a Maxi bag for transportation to and from game night.

Honestly you can even put multiple ships into a slot with no problem a lot of the time, as they don't damage each other from rolling around; the damage comes from impact with the walls of the container, which the foam totally negates. It's pretty great all-around.

One thing I recommend though is to keep the ships/dials/bases in the foam, but keep your cards and ship tokens separate. I brought some stuff to the LGS last Thursday, but then I found out they were only doing Hyperspace, so I had to change all my lists. Turns out almost all of my rebel hyperspace cardboard was with my other X-Wings in a different foam tray.

I went through over the weekend and put all of my pilot cards and ship tokens into a big binder instead, so that will never be an issue again. If I have the ships and dials, I can fly anything I own.

Gonna need a bigger binder though; it's pretty much stretched to its limit and I don't intend to stop collecting...

I thought the Feldherr bags seemed too soft. I use hard plastic home storage containers(SmartStore), with Feldherr foam(and will be using toolbox foam for more storage from here on).

If I wanted even sturdier transportation I'd go with proper pelican cases or similar, but these are good enough to cram down a backpack and take the bike to the FLGS.

Went with the Game Plus Products pluck foam and make trays to my own preferences and customized to my collection. Most small base ships can be kept on their bases in the 2" blocks. https://www.miniaturemarket.com/gps1022.html

Here to second the miniature market pluck foam and game bags, can also be ordered on Amazon Prime for that sweet 2-day shipping.

I went with KR, which are quite similar but with softer foam.

They've stopped updating their range, but Pick'n'Pluck does for most odd ships. Small ships fit into the tree-shaped slots, but I've taken to removing the stands, and can fit far more into the foam. Small X-wing ships can easily take a bashing in a foam case, and 2 per slot works for me.

Bigger ships fit into odd places, but nearly everything fits in the end.

I have. Mine took a month or so to arrive, and as best as I could figure, it got to New York customs and just sat there until someone got around to inspecting it (not exactly high priority, apparently). So yeah, it's frustrating; but I don't think you need to worry about it having gotten lost or anything just yet.

May as well make use of this thread being resurrected to ask a question I've been wondering for some time now.

Has Feldherr done any new inserts since second edition dropped?

Are there are any Republic or Separatist specific trays now? I can't seem to find any, and I could do with one that covers all the current Republic small bases at least.

Maybe it's just that the UK shops I normally look at haven't stocked them yet, but I can't seem to find any.

Thanks! That's good to know as I didn't know if it was a DHL issue. Buy the Same Token (via Etsy) got here in less than two weeks, so there was some concern.

Yeah they have a few new trays now. The Sith Infiltrator tray, a Republic Y-Wing tray, a Jedi + ARC tray, and maybe one more. They also have double and triple Upsilon trays now too, which has been the hardest ship for me to store the past three years. I ordered a double Upsilon tray as well.

I did order from them directly. I ordered around Thanksgiving and it took 4-5 weeks. They told me 3 weeks or so, but it took 4-5. Yes, it was during the Holidays and peak shipping time. I was just starting to get worried when it came. It arrived in the last few days of 2019.

I did see them on Amazon recently! You don't have everything from their main site, but you can do it via Amazon Prime and get the free shipping. I was surprised to see them on Amazon.

I got the huge box and bag from them and can put my entire collection into it. I am thrilled with it. I'm also surprised how little it cost when I am used to Battlefoam. The price was about 50% less. I was able to store my entire collection, including Huge ships, for about $150.

If anyone is interested in ordering Feldherr, they gave us a code: Shuttle19 It gives you 5 Euros off for a 50 Euro order.

I also use the Feldherr blue magnetic flip top box (which comes with a tray too - can be cheaper too if you need that tray and were going to order said tray by itself) for tournaments. District Foundry's tray system, my glasses case, my ships, damage deck (full sized holder by BtST) and snack all fit inside the Feldherr blue box.

I think I paid $13 on Amazon for that one, but it has since gone back up to about $27 on Amazon here in the States. A great option if you don't want to go the route of the small lunchbox for District Foundry's system.
