Homemade Scenario: Dangerous Liaison

By SanguineAngel, in Game Masters

Hi guys,

I put together this short introductory scenario for my new group of players and thought that some of you might be interested.

The scenario was designed to offer a variety of encounters and allow players experience of Social encounters, technical problem solving, combat and space combat. It's a little rough around the edges since it was for personal use but I just ran through it very successfully over the course of 2 sessions (5-6 hours all told).

Hopefully it's not a total disgrace! :D

This was well-written, detailed, and inventive. Nice work! Great use of a variety of skills in the chase mechanic, that is a fantastic suite of settings and easily adaptable to a variety of situations.

The only criticism I might have is that in the Double-Cross sidebar, some of the narrative dice axes are at odds with others. For example, the Despair seems to ignore a net success, but we've all seen dice results with Success, Triumph, Threat and Despair in the same result. It's hard to write it so that these things don't cancel each other out, but it looks to me like you've done a good job with the others.

One other thing is you might change the number of stormtroopers to be relative to the size of the party. A party of 3 faces is going to have a lot of trouble, while a party of 5 or 6 hired guns might mop the floor with the Imperials.

I'll echo whafrog, nice work.

It's a good premise, and a good plausible way for shady Edge type characters to get their first contact with the rebellion if the GM wants to dabble in that element.

Thumbs up.

Thanks guys for some lovely comments - very gratifying! Particularly whafrog - great feedback. Really appreciate it. I'll tinker with the double cross and minion groups when I get a chance and might throw in some stat blocks for NPCs. Otherwise onto the next one for the group!
