I tried special forcesing....but I think I just prefer defendering still.
I'm not sure this quickdraw fella is really all that necessary to win some stuff with imperials.
I guess he's....aight. I just don't think I care for it. I'm still getting plenty of work done with vessery and ryad all greased up and connected together.
I think I'm going to stick with it still even though it's out of fashion.
Anyone else still defendering? How's it going?
I won a store champ a month ago with a TIE/D Vessery and an x7 Maarek, backed up by the Palp mobile. So yeah, I'm definitely still defendering.
I still like the idea of a Delta defender heading into the thick of it first and getting both actions while hopefully blocking your opponent. The Inquisitor pairs well by sitting back and sniping at range 3. Its the rest that I'm undecided about... will probably just throw another defender in there.
X7 defenders still scare me more than Tie/D defenders or tie S/F's. The latter two hit harder, but the former has crazy good defense.

Ryad backed by a bomber and lambda. Mmmmmm.
Quickdraw takes a bit of practice to fly correctly. When flown well, he's offers far more value than any Defender. Of course, why not run both? Quickdraw and Vessery make such an amazing pair.

I played in a recent store champs where my Fenn was able to solo Backdraft and Quickdraw. I moved second so was able to make sure only one of them was able to shoot me at a time. I think /SF's are good, but they can die so **** quick.
My store championship wining list had ryad and backdraft.
I like them both. But really I am more a tie sf or prototype kind of guy. Zeta leader is always my favorite ship. Of my current 8x saved imperial lists 6 have zeta leader...

My son has had great success with Ryad X7, VI and TieMkII with two Tie Ds with Ion Cannon. It is his force of choice.

Fenn is prone to the dice gods just like anyone else. He can blank out, you might need to save focus for defense because you are going to be brassed up by 2 Torp carrying Scouts.

Working on a list with QuickDraw, Countess Ryad, and Omega Leader. Vessery combos well with that list too, but I prefer the flexibility and stress shedding of Ryad with Predator, Title, and mark 2 engines.
I won our store champs with Ruthless Vessery, Ryad and Omega Leader. I love me some double Derpfenders.

I don't understand the people who use one or the other. Backdraft and Quickdraw both make such perfect spotters for Vessery in a TIE/D.
