Nym/Han

I can't stop myself from making Falcon lists today. Seems like Han could be pretty punchy, plus have a ton of options for defense. Please correct me if I'm wrong on Han here:

  • On attack
    • Roll attack dice
    • Get blank/focus/focus
    • Expertise focuses into hits
    • Use Han's ability to reroll blank
    • Get another focus
      • Expertise new focus into hit

You have misunderstood Han's ability here. Han forces you to reroll all of your dice, focuses and all

I misunderstood it a different way. For some reason I was thinking of modifying a result with something like Expertise would lock it in just like you can only re-roll once.

Yeah, less exciting now.

Plus 3po and Counter Measures don't fit well...

@gennataos You are not alone. I too thought the Original Trilogy Han worked essentially like a Target Lock. Boy was I disappointed when I brought him out to play.

You could use Finn with OT Han's ability to re-roll attacks, if you didn't get enough useful results.

Otherwise, I like where you're going with this list. You just have to test it.

Your nym is flawed as well, genius works well with the scum build. Because he can ignore friendly bombs. Your rebel one can only delay the detenation or risk doing damage to itself.

Try doing a dead eye nym with synched turret and some ordinance. You don't even have to spend the focus for synched turret to fire, so it makes it a little more useful than. The dorsal turret

Here I thought this was going to be some kooky Nym/New Han combo where Nym drops a lane of mines with Minefield Mapper for Han to fly by and shoot from behind, and can even hold one from exploding on Han if he chooses to cross the line.

Would definitely consider swapping the Autoblaster for an Ion Bomb or Seismic Charge on Han. Trick Shot could also be either Adaptability or A Score to Settle.

I mean, hell. This kind of makes it a different game.

Well played, sir! I'd thought about Sabine on Han, but lacked the intestinal fortitude to pull the trigger.

I love the idea of ABT on Nym. PS10 with Barrel Roll that can ignore dice? Yes, please!

After the enemy flies alllllllllllllll the way around your mines, Han jumps a proximity mine which Nym holds in place, then they have to come alllllllllllllll the way around again.

It's going to be silly fun. Wait until someone deploys in just one corner and you box them in with Han flanking on one side and the rest of your list come in front of them.

I'm a bit confused - where did the Prox mines come from? Nym only has 2 bomb slots, and he can't take Sabine with Minefield Mapper. Even if he could take Sabine, how are there two prox mines? Do you mind sharing your full list?

The list is two posts above the image. Nym has Extra Munitions. The image assumes Minefield Mapper will let you drop all your bombs, including via Extra Munitions tokens (even though I don't believe that's how it will or should work).

Thanks. I think that if the Minefield Mapper-Extra munitions actually does work that way, this may actually be a real strategy. I'm pretty sure that's not how it works, and that makes the whole thing quite a bit less impressive; 4 bombs choke up the whole board, but 2 bombs just restrict a lane or two. Most ships can just go around or through.
