How long until we have a new FAQ?

Perfect Balance - no damage can be done to any ships.

When a ship would be given a damage card, discard it. Now everything is balance, would make the naysayers happy.

Ye but then tie/z swarms are OP on the final salvo...

No final Salvo, just hug the opponent for a game well play. Everyone wins,

"Alderaan Errata"? We can have no weapons?

Or maybe he means the Death Star (FAQ) will show up and destroy Alderaan (the meta) :P

More this, hah. And I did not coin the term, it came from a FB post. The anticipated nerfs would be pretty huge for Rebels and Scum, though I haven't seen any rumors for changes on the Imperial side, which also helps with the Alderaan theme.

Well, FFG have set the precedent with the last big nerfing and the recent Armada shake up. If the Armada example is anything to go by; it'll be a big shake up for sure.

The bits I heard, if part of this alleged 'shake-up', were certainly impactful. No more treading lightly around the edges of problems.

I'm curious to hear said rumors, obviously with the disclaimer they are only rumors. Would you be able to enlighten us please?

Tbere's a precedent here, as the four previous nerfs to the JM5K didn't accomplish what they should have.. :)

I'd argue the previous nerfs were to specific list builds, not to the JM5K itself. And the Zuckess Nerf hit the party bus just as hard as Dengaroo.

No. I think they're too close to the truth and don't want to get anyone in trouble... sorry!

They will release the nerf one week before Gencon so all the play testers have an advantage at the North American championship. Remember worlds?

Actually, tractor beams would be super OP. Ring out for the win!

What about it?

I think he refers to the fact that FFG has until now casually dropped meta-changing FAQs within weeks of major events. Deadeye nerf was a few weeks before Worlds. Palp/x7/Manstoo/Zuckuss nerf was a few weeks before the last 3 System Opens.

Even if it's not intentional, it still puts people with prion knowledge (play testers) as some advantage. Doubly so if they had planned on running something that's about to get nerfed.

Are you suggesting, what I Think you are? X-Wing Sumo Wrestling.....It's possible you have just discovered the best Game Variant ever...

Oh i am sure TLT will get a nerf in a few months AFTER all the tie aggressors are purchased in multiple numbers..lol

Let's hope it's sooner rather than later, because the game needs some serious changes to be made. The current state of things has pushed me away, and it would take a serious hit to Biggs, the Lancer, the Jumpmaster, Mindlink, and f'ing Fenn 'so underpriced it hurts' Rau to reinstate my enthusiasm for the game.

It's almost impossible to get around every big tourney, especially last year.

And now, Fat Han and Super Dash have a lovechild in... Fat Dash, flying his Outrider, pushing people left and right and having not a care in the world! Undisputed champion of Sumo-Wing! NERRRRRF HIMMMMM

They could have dropped the Deadeye FAQ right after Worlds and the other nerf bombs after all System Opens were done (5/8 had already passed). It would have been more fair to everyone involved, IMO at least.

However, between these 2 things, Dialgate and still not having floor rules, I guess tournament integrity and not accidentally screwing random guys over doesn't rank very high on FFG's list of priorities.

Yeah, because that turned out so well for the Jedi....

:P

I reckon we'll get a new FAQ soon. Lots of questions coming up from new cards. Notably "Jabba the Hutt" and "Minefield Mapper".

As for nerfs/buffs I'm sure there'll be some somewhere but it'll focus on clarifying new cards.
