I am trying to find good control combinations what work good with him. Wanted to hear thoughts on what are nice characters that go with him.
Jabba the Hutt
I've heard that Vader (Awakenings) goes well with him. Vader's inherent mill ability and high health help the deck a bit, and blue+yellow is great for villain dice control. I was actually planning on trying that out at a tournament later today, so I'll let you know how it goes!
On the theme of yellow+blue villain, I've also seen eJabba/eDooku do well. That leads me to believe eJabba/eVentress might be pretty good as well, but Ventress' low survivability could be a weak point.
In casual play, I've greatly enjoyed playing Jabba/Unkar/RoyalGuard, because of the high health and flexibility (plus guardian).
Edit: Just got back from playing Jabba/Vader. 0-3. All three games were close (I had achieved the mill condition but they killed me before the round ended). I think it's probably decent in casual play, but right now mill is just not fast enough to win competitive play.
Edited by KieransiMy favorite deck to play is eJabba / eUnkar. Keeping the opponents locked down by either removing his hand of cards or keeping him a zero resources while making so much money until you draw your Crime Lord is so much fun IMO.
Krennic with Imperial Inspection is also a good combo.
Jabba's been devalued a little bit with Unkar on the scene, but he's still one of the best support characters in the game. Fast Hands on Jabba is AMAZING, because of your chances of hitting 2 discard/2 disrupt early in a turn.
eJabba/Vader is okay, but tends to suffer from the issue that you really need to kill someone for it to be effective. It's not a pure mill deck, it has to be able to deal out at least some damage to be viable.
eJabba/Nightsister/x is pretty decent as a starting point for mill. x is something 8 points or less - you can run another Nightsister, or another yellow chump like Guavian Enforcer for redundancy with Con Artist/Cunning.
I've seen eJabba/eVentress or eDooku both do some work, though may be too frail for the SoR meta. (As you might have picked up from the above, Jabba likes access to Blue. Darth Slugius is great, you've just got to deal with the randomness of Holocrons).
eJabba/eUnkar is actually quite solid, can play as both mill and Crime Lord.
I want to try eJabba/Krennic for Imperial Inspection, but I'm pretty sure the deck is terrible (mainly, I'm fairly sure Krennic just doesn't really work)
If you get the inspections and your opponent plays a lot of cheap upgrades, Jabba and Krennic isn't too bad. I don't see it winning tournaments but it can hold its own for a few turns. You need some good play and good rolls to go all 6 rounds for the mill though.
