Honing the Imperial edge - Possible buffs for EPTless ships and the TIE Punisher

I was pondering on ways that FFG might be able to give Imperials a bit of a boost (not that I'm entirely sure they need it, based on my experience...), and help some less seen pilots get some table time. What do you think of the following idea?

This would give an EPT slot to the following ships

TIE Fighter:
Night Beast
Winged Gundark
Backstabber
Dark Curse

TIE Interceptor (blocks Royal Guard TIE title):
Fel's Wrath
Lieutenant Lorrir
Kir Kanos

TIE Phantom:
Shadow Squadron Pilot

TIE Punisher:
Deathrain
Redline

TIE Striker (blocks Adaptive Ailerons title):
Countdown

TIE/fo Fighter:
Epsilon Leader


While this is a bit of a buff for the Punisher already, I was also considering the following title specifically for the Punisher.

When you acquire a target lock, you may assign yourself a Reinforce token on the fore side.

Would VI Redline with a reinforce token to the fore be too much? I see that as the most likely outcome of this combination of upgrades...

With that, a crew member that offered an elite slot could be a possibility.

I suspect VI AdvSens Deathrain with Reinforce would be approaching broken with Bomblet Generator. PS8 is ace level, and being able to drop your bomblets before or after boosting, front or back, really gives him an insane amount of positioning flex.

But TIE pilots do! And with the stinking creep, it shouldn't be a huge issue. Plus, it might be nice if the most fielded TIE/LN is actually Imperial ?

But broken?? Compared to Sabine and the new Scrugg Turreted great dial bomber thingy?? No way......plus, the other models would still suck in comparison to those two OP ships.

Approaching, not actually ;) With a reinforce token, maybe not just approaching.

Sounds pretty balanced to me. I really wish FFG would do something to help these poor Tie's out!

I've been noodling with a TIE only title that basically gives anyone Omega Leader's ability. That would make 2 dice go quite a bit further, without needing them to add even more dice.

Unfortunately even an EPT won't help the middling Tie Interceptors. Lt. Lorrir might be interesting with Intensity but the stress still hurts him and being PS 5.

Ner because the ACTION bombs have a far more immediate and devastating effect. In short, it will be EXCEPTIONALLY difficult to overpower the punisher

For theme and balance, imo punisher should just always have a faceup reinforce token (in arc). Its deal was kinda charging fortified positions head on and somehow winning. Dont want tl dependency due to unguideds being a thing

Edit: would be more fun for TIE/IT to be like x7, but is a faceup reinforce and only doesnt trigger when you overlap obstacles/ships (Gotta be able to kturn, ya know). Obv no speed restrictions either cause the **** thing is slow

This could be interesting as a dual card - one side 'when you are attacking, the defender cannot modify their defence dice', the other 'when you are defending, the attacker cannot modify their attack dice'. NO way to flip it, just set one side at start of game.
