Improved Reflect Question

By HistoryGuy, in Star Wars: Force and Destiny RPG

If a player uses the Reflect talent and the attack still does damage and then uses Improved Reflect because the attack generated three threat, does tje player still take the damage?

Yes. Remember one attack roll doesnt mean that it is one shot. Narratively they returned at least some of the shots, if for whatever reason it was one shot (example a sniper) then you could narrate that the shot was reflected so close to the body that it still caused damage, or the act of reflecting itself did.

Ok. That is what i was trying to explain to my rules lawyer PC but he kept saying that because the attack rolled a despair and he reflected it that he should not receive any damage.

The other question we had was how much damage is delt to the target it is reflected to? The amount of damage redused by reflect, base damage of the attack, or the full attack?

Improved reflect says the full damage for the original attack. So if the original attack was 20 damage, the poor target at medium range also gets 20 damage.

To trigger improved reflect you onlh have to reduce the damage (otherwise the verbage would be reduce to zero). Your second question is also covered improved reflect's full description.

A lot of people dont read fhe full descriptions or often dont think the shorter description isnt the same either, so it doesnt make you look like a fool.
