Quick one...
Is it possible to kneel a char to pay a cost while they have motley on them without paying the 1 gold. IE: Kneel Victarion GJ (War Crest), to pay the cost of Assertion of Might while he has Motley on him?

Motley only forces the gold if you want to trigger the character's own ability. You are free to use it to pay the costs of the ability on some other card.
I have another Motley related question.
Some kinds, motley being the most prominent example, require you to pay out to your opponent in some form to use the character or their abilities. In the case of Motley, it states you must give an opponent a gold if you attack them or use an ability or some such.
If I have no gold, can I still attack someone with a Motley'd character? Or does Motley disallow me from initiating that challenge with that character period if I have no gold?
Same with the abilities.
With Motley you must pay 1 gold in order to attack/defend/trigger the ability. This means that if you have no gold you won't be able to do any of those things and, therefore, your character will be pretty useless.

the cards kneel individually. I didn't know this at first, and it complicated things a bit.
