Feedback Array is not an attack, so yes you can go around zapping other ships. But eventually, you'll kill yourself.

It's the exact same for EMP as well.

You could also throw Sabine in and drop bombs, recover them with the salvage crane and drop them again. Or use slicer tools. There are a lot of things you can do without attacking.
