Hi guys, sorry if the doubt is silly, however I am just trying to understand some of the basics of the game:

1) If I add Lord Hawthorne as a figure within my Spearmen unit how does it work? I mean, I should add the card "Lord Hawthorne" to my unit and every time I assign a melee attack to my Spearmen it will trigger Lord Hawthorne ability to add one more white die?

2) What if I still want to use the Spearmen melee and use the 2 surges to gain one inspiration token? Do I have to choose which "melee" to use if this will be Spearmen's or Lord Hawthorne one or I can do both?

3) Also, Lord Hawthorne card says "after you perform a melee attack you may do another melee attack to a unit has not been targeted..." how am I able to do this if the Spearmen will be engaged? How can I attack "another unit" that I am not engaged with?

How it works is there is a card included with Lord Hawthorne that is a 22(i) point addition and takes a champion slot on a spearmen unit. If you want to use it.

Also included is a Lord Hawthorne (c ) That one is for Cav and is used in the Champion slot.

In each case you use the right sized figure and he replaces a person on the front line. And you only have the abilities that show on the card. I don’t recall Lord Hawthorne’s (I) card ability. But in each case you can only spend the Surge’s as directed. So if 2 surges are rolled, you can either gain a inspiration token, or use Lord Hawthornes ability.

Lord hawthornes ability does not have a surge cost.

Oops. I was thinking of Kari's ability. My mistake.

But the point stands, 1 surge can't power 2 abilities.
