Ok, this is what I am going to be flying for the next couple of weeks and a SC later this month as well.

Maarek Stele 40 points

Omicron Group Pilot 25 points

I am going to play aggressively, if I am able to play Maarek decent enough and place him well enough, I can possibly do 3 attacks in one turn and Quickdraw can potentially do 2 attacks.

I have 2 points to play with and don't know what to add and or Change, or should I keep them for Initiative bid?

Spend those 2 points on a better EPT for Quickdraw. I recommend Lone Wolf or VI. Go for Predator if you can free up another point.

Snap Shot is hard to pull off on a PS7. Also, Vessery is much better as a TIE/d. With FCS on Quickdraw you should always have fuel for Vessery's pilot ability.

Your shuttle can take Collision Detector for free. Might as well. Kylo has a nasty ability. If you want to build around that, then Backdraft is better suited for it than Quickdraw. Also, Maarek's pilot ability does not interact with "I'll Show You the Dark Side" so that's another reason to run Vessery instead.

If you exchange the ion cannon with mangler it synergizes better with Kylos ability

Don't get the double tap with Mangler.

Also JMS, is kinda right in EPT's need trading out, but move ASTS over to Steele and Predator or another choice to QD. Personally I don't like Vessery in this list. Yes, he has this amazing ability if his target doesn't get blown up first. However, with the shuttle already being tough to maneuver and QuickDraw either being the first ship down or the last depending on how your opponent wants to play, Vessery just gets focused on too easily here imo. Even if you went with VI Marek your potential to maneuver and avoid Arcs of other ships such as Vessery goes up and is actually a tougher call to make should you get those crits through now your opponent is in a tougher matchup.

it does synergize better, but it's 4 points which doesn't help with the tie/d double tap ability

I changed Ion Cannon to Flechette Cannon for two reasons. One, it's one point cheaper and two, it affects every ship it manages to hit.

I also have two things in mind, I can still change Vessery for Stele. I do understand the value of a potential free TL, but I do like the fact that

I can pick one card from from 3, which gives me a lot of flexibility. I did not know that it didn't mix with Kylo . Thank you for informing me of that.

I can also switch Backdraft back to Quickdraw since I do have 2 points left. I guess I'll make that decision as I play during these coming weeks

Don't overlook the other restriction on Flechette Cannon: It doesn't apply stress to ships that already have stress tokens. That being said, it should be a good pick against popular upgrades like Mindlink and Expertise. Tractor Beam, Ion Cannon and Flechette Cannon all have advantages and disadvantages. It really boils down to determining the kind of control you want.

"I'll Show You the Dark Side" has a rule clarification on page 9 of the FAQ. Maarek Stele is covered in detail. Download the FAQ from the X-wing main page if you don't have it already.

Maarek's ability depends on dealing damage, which you can't guarantee. Vessery's ability gives him action efficiency and dice modification. It's one of the best pilot abilities in the game, and it thrives when you have Fire Control System on your other ship.

I'm sure you picked A Score to Settle for the crit function. It isn't a terrible idea, but it isn't the best either. Vessery really likes Veteran Instincts. Try it both ways and compare results.
