Store championship Seville final

So this is the final of a store championship at seville. 15 contestants. 6 rebels, 9 imperials.

Was a fun game, we made some mistakes missing some steps that did not really had an impact on the game and we fixed along with no major problems such as (LOL) forgetting to move ships or missgiving orders, well that was our 4th game of the day and were a bit tired.

Was mostly focused on fighters since the deployments turned out to be really far. By the end of the round 4 he conceaded the game when he realised that I killed enough of his fighters than he could actually even by killing all of mines, and he was going right into Ackbar deadzone without activation advantage.

For me, I found headhunters really fun and deadly, sometimes. Once I delivered 5 overkill damage to a Lambda, the next time I delivered 0.0 ****. So yeah, funny :lol: :lol: . Well I'm an Ackbar user I like to take my chances in the dice.

Slicer tools were super usefull in all of my 4 matches. One of them the guy was running a Liberty wich I choosed every single order on it from turn 3 on, till it died by turn 5.

Ackbar as always, sometimes reliable, sometimes cranky. In this game in particular I only got to shot with him once by the end of the game.

In the end it was a fun match, we played far more than 100 matches together since core and it felt like old times just being in the finals with Screed vs Ackbar, tops wave 2 buddies.

Other interesting stuff:

Rieekan was represented by 1 person. 6 ativations, 2 transports, 2 CR90B's, 2 MC30, mix of aces and regular squadrons.
Rhymer was NOT present.
At least 3 lists were under 4 activations. I faced one regarding, AFKM2 + Liberty + Transport. In the other hand, lots of lists between 5 and 6 activations. Seems like the norm.
At least 3 lists with 2 or more ARQ + Intel officers. One of them with Vader.
Most used Imperial commander was JJ, at least 4, most used Rebel commander was Dodonna and Ackbar (2-2).
Huge increase on big size ships on the table. At least 8 out of the 15 lists had a big sized ship. Including MC80 Libery, Home One and ISDII.
The bet for initiative was either incredibly low (under 390) or not existent.
Squadron investement was in general betewwn 65p and 85p with a bunch of lists very focused in squadrons (120p+)

Well he sent me first tie bombers to do antifighter stuff. Shara and thycho pinned down the interceptors before they had the alpha and lasted enought to let the HH's free and alive to destroy with 3red+ 1 blue.

Saber squadron in the last game has few to do I let it hidden in the ships only showed by the end of turn 4 and killed a 3hp bomber making use of Blounts skill and swarm.

In my first 3 games having a bomber around was really helpful as I could use it to deliver real good damage against ships. I find saber quite versatile along with swarm rebel lists. Nobody seems to notice it or thinks youre flying it along with the screen (since youre not going full bombr list) until he hits a flank of a capital ship.

You should stop playing horizon zero dawn and sleep a bit. He joked aboit you playing with saber squadron instead of dagger squadron :D
