Now you have to pay $399 a year for third party hosting. I don't expect them to last long now. That is the first nail in the coffin.
Photobucket charging now!!!
Meaning what?
This was posted over on the taccoms forum a couple weeks ago, but I just posted a picture from PB to BGG a couple days ago.
It doesn't quite seem to be universally applied.
$399 is crazy. $3.99 maybe.
I posted all my pics using photobucket and now you can't see it.

Just Testing.
Still works
Edited by Mad CatI really used to love Photobucket as a photo sharing site, and I've never used ad blockers on the site before. I was using the free plan at 2.5 GB of storage, and I still have a TON of room left.
But then, Photobucket started becoming just permeated with ads that would pop up at the most inopportune times, and it was a ***** trying to find the "X" button on some of the ads.... and on others, the ads were so large, they were hard to maneuver around to try and find the "Go to site" button.
Now, Photobucket has decided that unless you spend 40 dollars a month on them, you can still store your photos, but you cannot use it for 3rd party hosting. They were citing that too many users were using ad-blockers on their free accounts, so the rest of us have to pay.
So, I guess I'm down to using the attachments feature of sites and forums that have them. Not that that's a bad thing, but even those have limits. (Size limits, memory limits, etc.)
Anyhoo..... Photobucket can go Photofrakitself.

That's a beautiful shot!
Hmm photobucket still lets me post stuff for free, granted I hate that site with all the **** adds and would gladly use a different one. What other sites can we use?

I use imgur for the rare occasions that I need to post images
