Discord Server for all things Genesys.
This is cool. I've never used Discord before.
Don't even know what this is.
With the books on the boat I thought i'd bump this. We've made some additions to the server to get ready for the launch. We have a couple channels dedicated to R&D for new settings and modifications. We're looking for anyone who wants to run games or for player who are looking to find a group. We have a bunch of people who can help you set up with the tools we have found/made. Come on down and sit a spell!
We also have a subreddit for the redditors out there and we have set up searchable tags on /r/lfg

I just installed it recently. It's kind of like a personal facebook or blog from what I can tell. You can put comments and pictures up and only people that you invite to your server can see them. They can reply also. Really just seems like group email to me.

It is. We now have places for creators to R&D and workshop ideas for settings. And there is a growing collection of ideas to use
It seems to be the future of online gaming. My teenage son introduced me to Discord. The apprentice surpasses the master. I will come check it out when I get time.
Discord is like a Skype replacement for gaming, right?
Can you just do standard PBP there as well?
I wouldn't be able to do any live gaming, but I could manage and would be interested in PBP.

yup, you'll have to get discord account, there are desktop and mobile apps too!

Couldn't this be done in a channel, or would that be pushing the limits of the free offering?

One or two could work, but it doesn't scale well after that. And in a private server you can make multiple channels (ooc, ic, dice, character sheets, maps, etc), change nicknames to match character names, and still have the dice bot
Just a reminder if the server. It's a great place ask questions, get feedback, roll some dice, find out the lastest happenings, or find a group to play with!
