I always do a little report of my game night the night before in these threads, but now you ask questions and I always feel awkward for it.

Still....what do I want for X-wing? More games, for one! Besides that, all the things listed. Mission cards, more HotAC, boxed campaign, and just more in general. I also want a bank account that can handle my game hobbies!!!!

I want better torpedoes. Not sure what that'd look like, but I feel that if there's a slot that goes unused, it's torpedoes. Extra Munitions doesn't count.

Do you mean just a better Torpedo for general ships, like the X-wing to use? Or do you mean just better in every way? I'm curious because I've found that Proton Torpedoes with Guidance Chip are pretty darn good. I mean, the most average roll is 2 hits, one eyeball, and one blank. You end up getting 3 hits and a Crit!

  • 1 hit = 3%
  • 2 hits = 17%
  • 3 hits = 41%
  • 4 hits = 37%

I mean, those are good odds. That's not even with some sort of Attanni Mindlink or other way to get a Focus in there. Or....do you just not like to spend 4 pts on something that is one shot? Plasma roll 4 dice for only 3 pts, but without some sort of secondary modification you aren't going to get good results. Still, if it's a ship with Shields, you might get the extra bonus damage.

I have found Flechette Torpedoes to be really good for only 2 pts. You get 3 dice attack, but no range defense bonus at R3. You can get free GC for the modification. It causes Stress for smaller ships. That stress alone might win you the game.

I want to see more mission and objective based play. I want to see more iconic star wars locales as game mats - especially ones that don't lock you into a specific time period.

I want to see a atmosphere/ground rules set for playing on other terrain.

Oh, and give scum a raider sized epic ship.

I just want to see the Pulsar Skate. It's the only ship I cared about from the old EU missing. :(

And a working T-65.

And some Rogue/Wraith squadron pilot cards so I put canput a whole **** squadron of X-wings on the table in Epic mode!!!

And maybe some Y-wing pilots.

Obi-Wan and Yoda are the two biggest crew cards not in the game yet. The fact that various seemingly random people like Greedo got in first, who literally had what 3 minutes of screen time, is kinda shocking.

Shipwise, more pilots. Perhaps they could release another invisible upgrade that literally replaces the pilot of a given ship with a new one (new ps and ability, comes with a new cardboard for small/large bases with an asterisk instead of a ship icon so you can still use the original pilot too and have the correct PS/name on the base)

I want to play more X-Wing.

I also want to hear less complaining about things people don't like while playing X-Wing.

Most importantly I want everyone to remember it is a game and to try and have fun.

Turbo laser batteries. The 'battlefield in a box' ones have a strange configuration with which I'm not in love. Plus, I'd like FFG rules and 'pilot' cards.

A book of ready-made missions, based on the kind we used to play in the Lucasarts series of games.

I think you put it better than me. I mostly just want a torpedo that I'd actually put on an a coupla X's or B's. It feels weird for rebels to go in without torpedoes. I do love some plasma or proton torpedoes on a Y though.

If you put on Guidance Chip and Proton Torps on an X-wing or B-wing, you should be good. Or....if you want cheap, go with Flechette Torpedoes. They are only 2 points!

Personally I would love to see these ships get adjustments as a way to make them inline with the powercreep for all play formats. It would be amazing if FFG brought out a year 5 box celebrating X-Wing with new bases, updated cards and alt art pilots as a fan service and a thank you to the peeps. (And if they had a contest to get community members likeness in the game as pilots)

I feel like the Hwk should have 2 base attack and/or a 180/360 firing arc and a dial improvement. It would be lots of fun to start to visit ships and make them inline with the new. There would be zero complaints from me if next year FFG focused on balancing all the ships again to the current power creep.
