So excited for wave 7....

But then we might end up with another abomination like the Assault Frigate Mk II...

The Strike Cruiser is quite a nice design; less blocky than the Dreadnaught, Carrack and Lancer. Also I've just seen that Rebellion/Supremacy's Liberator Class made it into Age of Rebellion - which means someone at FFG knows it exists and liked it. That gives me hope we might see it eventually in Armada (along with the Dauntless cruiser, Bulwark battlecruiser and so on).

What I'd really like to see, though, is the CC-7700 frigate. That's now "Disney-canon" (mentioned in Tarkin), and would give the Rebels an Experimental Retrofit upgrade slot while being different enough from the Interdictor in play style (a small ship, mainly anti-fighter, perhaps)?

I'd love to see most of the ships from supremacy turn up in the game, there are some cool designs there.

i really wish FFG had used the old school interdictor rather than the huge version that came out. I always envisioned it (in Armada terms) as a ship that would be worth about 55-60 points and relatively lacking in hull & weapons. Certainly smaller than a Victory-class. No 'combat refits'...

The CC-7700 looks similar in design to the Battlestars in BSG.

There's a fan-made model that does - iirc made for one of the SoaSE Star Wars mods. But the original is a lot blockier . Shorter and wider. It's quite a neat little ship - if limited (in the game, at least) by the low graphics options. There's an interesting 3d-printed version here that's closer to the in-game one, compared to the smaller style Interdictor.

If FFG wants to 'balance' out upgrade slots, the Rebels do need some sort of interdictor, and so far that's the only one that's out there - I think it would make a good $20/$30 small ship with some decent anti-squadron dice and a bit of black battery armament. For the Imperials, I'd quite like to see them go with the Venator (to bring in Fleet Command upgrade slots) - maybe a command-heavy variant and a carrier-heavy one; lots of blue dice, perhaps, and as a $30 medium ship (maybe $40). Not sure which Commanders you'd stick on them though.

The Liberator seems unlikely, sadly, as it's a bit too similar in shape to the Gladiator. The Bulwark or Dauntless would be a change - giving the Rebels something big that wasn't an MC ship, but... would be a ship for the sake of it, rather than filling in any gaps in the current line-up.

I would really like to see a secutor class star destroyer for the Galactic Empire. If they make one of those, I may just have to give up x-wing and play Armada instead. (Or play both. (or go broke :( ))

seeing as we just got the Quasar I don't see them adding an ISD level carrier to the game anytime soon (i had to look it up, i wasn't familar with the ship). Looks neat though.

Luke Skywalker (officer upgrade) - When defending, in the spend defence tokens step, you may discard this card to cancel all dice in the attack pool.

counter to BT Avenger.

a new set of nerfrattas are rumored to be inbound for X-wing.

No doubt, this may bring a few new Armada players out from the darkside.

I thought it was odd that they added Ciena Ree but didnt add in Thane Kyrell. I'd like to see some post fall ships and characters.

Right... but they did ALMOST the same thing with the Liberty. If they make a small modification to the ISD they can market it as an ISD1 or Prototype ISD, or Rear-Detachment ISD, or something like that.

tector class

I think it's due to lack of named imperial pilots. There's a lot of xwing pilots, so thane goes pretty far down that list.

the next conflict should be for squad pack 2 so tie phantoms, lancers and so on could get better aces

Forget the squadrons, I want one new title for each ship!

I'd rather have new titles over more aces. Also wouldn't rogues and villains be the next pack to receive more aces? Chewie or lando in the falcon would be a good addition.

'Cept it won't happen without Errata.

Unless you want 3 copies of the 'Falcon on the board at the same time.

They could say in it that there can only be one copy of each ship name in italic, aren't all specific names from aces in Italic?

Would still be an errata to the Rules. Just in a form of a new rule.

And would supersede the point of the Black Dot in the first place.

Good point. I didn't even think about this. Well I'd still prefer ship titles over aces anyways.

The Bulwark would be too big. I know a lot of later sources brought its size down, but in the original source, it is not much smaller/weaker than an SSD. A Dauntless is probably about as big as you would want to go.

Yeah, the fan model of the CC-7700 that people pass around is pretty bad... At least the Legends backstory added later about it being the successor CC-2200 Detainer makes sense. But the Rebels do have another option in the form of the Modified Strike Cruiser from X-Wing vs. TIE Fighter: Balance of Power. They could rename it to the Peregrine-class Strike Cruiser. Even in the Imperial version of that campaign, I think 2 survive (not the Peregrine, though).

I would like To also see A Corvus Title for the raider, since that is the one in Battlefront II. I think that would be about as unlikely to be in wave 7 as my previous suggestion, though.

Secutor for those Who don't know it.

I think I'd be happy with a 2 ship wave and a box with new ship titles for wave 7

I'd like the mc75, brahatok (I'm sure I misspelled this), a super star destroyer or a shield gate for the imps and a new campaign.

What about scum and villainy? Lando falcon, iron squadron (2400) etc?

there is the falcon problem and besides that there is no replacement pilots

Dras pointed out that that would potentially lead to multiple falcons and other rogues in a fleet without the cards being rewritten. The cards would need a errata for that idea though I personally am on board for a chewie or lando falcon.
