What do people think of an amped up Nym with Cad or Sabine and tlt y wings......... I figure you can put tlt on nym too......is this list viable with current meta and is there a preference as to which faction might be more viable?? Ideas on how to beef up nym.....

Short answer: No.

Long answer: So the Quad TLT is a list that works just because it's at that wonderful break point where they JUST BARELY manage to fit in, haven't wasted any points on anything (one could argue 4 points wasted on unhinged, but it gives them such a good dial that it's really worth the upgrade). The 4 is important, you probably have about a 50/50 chance of losing one before it shoot depending on what you're up against and how they're flying it, but in any case, you will lose one before it shoots a second time. But that's where having 3 more is okay - you can position them such that they'll pay big time for killing that first one. When you only start with 3 ships, even if one is beefed up, then all of this becomes a discussion about losing one of two TLT y wings, and then you only have one (plus Nym) shooting. Sure, Nym is all jacked up, but he dies pretty much just as easily as a TLT Y wing does... so then if your opponent targets him first (as they should), he's going to die by the end of R2, leaving you now with 2 TLT Y wings instead of 3. And it's going to be very difficult for Nym to get his points back in that first pass.

But, if we were to entertain the idea, Nym (w/o TLT) plus two TLT Y wings comes in at 78 points. As the rebel faction, you're probably going to want Sabine on Nym, because why wouldn't you? In which case, you're probably also going to want seismics + EM on those Y Wings, 88 points. Nym's going to want a Seismic and a Cluster/Conners bomb himself, plus EM, 96 points. Not enough for TLT on Nym, but with 3 attack dice, he probably doesn't need it. Now the question is what to do with those last 4 points... You could put Stressbot on one of the Y wings, and perhaps even the BTL-A4 title... That might help keep Nym living to use all of those bombs. And then with 2 points, I think it'd be difficult to argue against LW on Nym, though you could perhaps make a case for Adrenaline Rush - do a Troll and drop a bomb. You can always make a case for VI and PS9. But at this point, we have a 42 Nym supported by dual TLTs, it's not really the same as Quad TLT. And I don't expect it to work as well either.
