Wave 11 - how many of each ship?

By HRCBlade, in X-Wing

As it seems wave 11 will be with us pretty soon what are the sensible numbers of each ship type required for squad building?

or in other words how many of each are you planning to get/ need.

I usually buy at least two of each fighter-sized ships, and one if large-sized. So for this wave, I'm getting six total.

4 Aggressors. 0 Wookie or H-6.

You can easily get away with 1 each

Double edge slots in nicely with double sf

Low goes with Biggs + miranda

And SCURRG for bomblett, though ill be getting two because im addicted to wingspan

Honestly not sure if we'll even get much of a meta impact, but it's new stuff to fly and bamboozle opponents with

One of each is standard for upgrade access. The question is, do you have any reason to buy more than that?

  • Auzituck: Selflessness is unique. Breach Specialists and Wookie Commandos are probably upgrades you only want one of. Most lists people have come up with only use one Auzituck. Four generic Auzitucks with Wookie Commandos ("Flying Carpets") looks fun but not competitive. Probably only buy one .
  • TIE Aggressor: Lots of good non-unique upgrades here, especially TLT and Lightweight Frame if you don't already have multiple K-Wings or Strikers. Two TLT Aggressors could pair up nicely with a ~50 point ace or fat ship, similar to some Scum squads that have seen success with two TLT Y-Wings and a fat ship. Four TLT Aggressors is going to be like four TLT Y-Wings - a benchmark squad that you either love or hate, but not top tier. Probably buy two.
  • Scurrg: Mostly unique upgrades and stuff accessible elsewhere. Multiple Minefield Mappers or a squad with Nym + Sol Sixa could be casual fun. Three/Four generic Scurrgs is probably not going to be competitive (3/4 generics almost never is for any ship, TLT Y-Wings and Triple Jumps being the major exceptions). Cruise Missiles might be amazing, though. If they are, you'll want to stock up, but the Scurrg comes with two copies. Probably buy one , or two for casual shenanigans or if Cruise Missile is amazing and spamable.

That's my plan as well.

3 of each looks good to me.

You are very analytical and thoughtful in your analysis, most would say that is a good plan if they were adding to their squads. Well done sir. To bad I've not ever fallen into the "most" category.

I have no desire for the replacement Biggs Wookie ship, as it doesn't fit my play-style and I have no knowledge of it's existence in the movie cannon, so I don't have to purchase it for collection reasons. The TIE Aggressor could be OK in a TIE squad, I have one coming as a gift, so that'll let me fly her and see. The Scrugg will be interesting as Cad Bane can make one of my Fairmasters be a bomber while the other one stays the borrowed Fairmaster TorpBoat to run with borrowed Fenn when I'm running in a competitive environment, see how that makes things better. But if there is a potential fix for my Punisher in that Scum thing, I must try it out personally as I love the multi-podded oddity...so, that said, I'll probably break down and purchase a Scrugg even though I think it unwise to reinforce bad behavior.

1 Scurrg, 1 or maybe 2 Aggressors depending on how much I REALLY want that second copy of Intensity.

1 each of the auzituck and aggressor for now, probably 2 scurrgs

1 H6, 1 Agressor

0 Space Hinds

One Scurrg.

I plan on 4 Aggressors, 1 Scurrg and 1 Auzituck.

2 aggressors 1 each on the others

probably not going to get more than 2 aggressors. Yes the TLT thing is there but A) thats boring as balls and B) i need another two TLT cards. And from casual listbuilding i dont see myself ever running more than 2 of them unless i ran ONLY them, and i dislike having a single trick up my sleeve in my lists.

Wookieship....1. It has uses, but theres no way in hell multiples are worth it.

Scurrg im still debating if i want 1 or 2. I have a really dirty list with 1 right now but i havnt tried to get a list with multiples yet, and theyre totally cheap enough to run in multiples.

I'm likely to end up with 3 Scurrgs so that I can field a whole wing of the beautiful things in Epic.

Really depends on the kinds of squads you want to build. I don't plan to spam TLT aggressors, and instead want to run just 1 with two other aces, so just buying 1. I don't really fly bombs, so not planning on the H-6. I'm not that excited about the Wookie Gunship, but if they drop a Biggs nerf I'll reluctantly pick it up.

I get way more excited about the movie stuff than these obscure EU ships personally.

I expect the TIE Aggressor to be the best seller just because it will include 2x TLT, which have been virtually unavailable for months.

1 Scurrg, 1 aggressor for the cards. The wookie canoe does nothing for me.

I'm going to buy one of each, and if I like the Aggressor I'll buy another one or two of those. I have less interest in the new ships now that they're weird stuff that shows up in a couple video games I never played (Aggressor) or one Rebels episode (yeah, I'm looking at you, fellow Wookiees!)

Now that I also play Armada, Rebellion, Imperial Assault, and Destiny, I just have less money to spend on this game!

As a man of the empire, I have to get 2 aggressors. I don't see the point in more though, since tlts are boring.

Kestral w/ Ion Turret
"Oh you have autothrustors?" *spends focus to cancel blanks/focus defense results* "Lot of good that did huh?" *proceeds to stalk endlessly*
Odds of that attack landing are insanely high when they get no rerolls or autos or focus usage. And we have plenty of ways to make this work (personally, Hux will feed the focus for her ability)

I have a slip in for 2 aggressors and one H-6. Thinking about adding a third aggressor for LWF.

Always 1 of each is the plan these days.

however this wave I am getting 2 of each,

though I might get 4 agress because I think it's funny and terrible.

Likely just 1 of each. I really don't ever see myself using more than 1 unless I REALLY need multiple of an upgrade card (such as Intensity).

2 aggressors 1 Wookiee 1 skrrrrg
