Introducing Genesys Web Assistant ! It rolls, it cancels, it tracks your destiny points, character stats, and initiative order!

Now, you may be thinking, "isn't this just a clone of the SWRPG Web Assistant?" Well you are 100% right! Right now its a clone with the new symbols, but once the CRB comes out I'll tweak it to match the new rules. Until then enjoy the new pretty symbols!

No Login required. Ever.

The project is open source. The code is available https://github.com/SkyJedi/SWRPG-Web-Dice-Roller/tree/genesys . I've got instructions in the readme.md file so you can setup your own instance if you don't wanna be on mine. Feel free to fork and contribute, as I am learning as I go.

So then, if not a login, what the heck is it asking for?

  • User Name

I'm pretty sure I'm missing something here...

Also, why is there a "Logout" button in your screenshot?

I believe the channel name is for the unique instance of the app, so your entire group is in the same place. And your username is shown when you chat or roll dice.

Yep, Channel is just a channel name for multiple people to use and see each others rolls. The User name is just the name the app uses to ID who is making actions "User rolls...." I needed some identifiers so groups could have there own space and each user could tell who is doing what.

if you wanna bypass that and just play around you can use this link https://genesys.skyjedi.com/0 .

what it does code wise is just change the URL a bit

genesys.skyjedi.com/CHANNELNAME&USERNAME

you can bypass the select page by typing in the full channel/user URL

logout just brings you back to the main page.

sorry for the confusion, when i said "login" i was referring to to registering a username and password, or suppling a facebook/google login

Sadly there seems to be no more SWRPG Web Assistant ?

When i go to https://dice.skyjedi.com there only is the new genesys assistant. Am I doing sth. wrong? I am really sad b/c your tool was the perfect fit for my gaming group and tomorrow was supposed to be our first session. Also I already edited in some characters and text for our first session that now is gone.

I hope you will be able to provide the SW one to us again!

recoded the roll module in preparation for unmatched fortune feature

code base for roll is nearly identical with Discord D1

and reorganized genesys branch for easier code parody

you can use the +/- buttons to add slots, then click on each slot to flip them to npc, then use the arrow buttons to cycle the turns.

or under special rolls you can set your initiative roll and then click Roll Initiative to have the roller roll and sort the slots
