Dice?

By Nichols1027, in Genesys

The genesys dice app allows you to select individual dice and choose the side. I need to look up the symbols then I can post. I also have the Star Wars dice app so maybe I can do the same. By all means though, don't wait for me as I have a busy day ahead and may not get to this until tonight.

Genesys dice:

Boost (white d6) – 2x blank, 1x single success, 1x 1 success+1advantage, 1x double-advantage, 1x single-advantage

Ability (green d8) – 1x blank, 1x double-success, 2x single-advantage, 2x single-success, 1x double-advantage, 1x 1 advantage+1success

Proficiency (yellow d12) – 1x single-triumph, 2x single-success, 2x double-success, 2x double-advantage, 1x single-advantage, 3x 1 advanatge+1success, 1x blank

Setback (black d6) – 2x blanks, 2x single threat, 2x single Failure

Difficulty (purple d8) – 1x blank, 3x 1 threat, 1x double-threat, 1x 1 threat + 1 failure, 1x double-failure, 1x single-failure

Challenge (red d12) – 1x single despair, 2x single threat, 2x double-failure, 2x single failure, 2x 1 failure + 1 threat, 2x double-threat, 1x blank

Edit: the Star Wars dice app only asks you which side type to set it to, not showing how many of each there are. Would need to wait until tonight to look at the physical dice or do some research to see if someone has it online

Since the gist of this thread is a comparison between the Star Wars dice and the Genesys Dice, I thought I'd post a picture of them side by side. I like that the dice from one set are a slightly different shade than the other set as that makes it super easy to sort the two. Except the Black Setback dice which are... well... black.

I like that the new dice symbols are a blend of the Star Wars and Warhammer symbols, they’re similar enough that you could probably mix dice and not have problems.

Easily. And I think that might be a very valid point to make to those who are picking up the game. It's very easy to mix the two dice sets together and still read the results.

No need to go overboard on any of the dice sets... like I did. Heh. :P

I wish the reds were still red, though. It really screams "Challenge," while the maroon... doesn't.

My photographic skills are lacking. I work all day in an OR as an anesthetist; they remind me of the color of drying blood: a deep red moving to an ugly deep red-maroon.
