Depends on the slots and dial and agility .

• With 2 agility we can use the Lightweight Frame upgrade.

Adaptive Ailerons are definitely not boring.

• Has two lasers, so I don't expect much more than 2 attack.

• Considering it's a transport comparable to the Lambda 2 crew slots isn't far fetched.

• Where else are we going to get Director Orson Krennic ?

• Death Troopers and Undead Troopers crew upgrades... Need I say more.

2 agility shuttle? Again: TIE Shuttle.

Adaptive Ailerons: wouldn't work on the TIE Reaper ("TIE Striker only"). Besides, those are not movable in the TIE Reaper (see the thing in the back connecting both).

Krennic and Death Troopers = could come in the next Imperial epic ship (Light Cruiser, hopefully).

Hux works amazingly on Stridan....

i actually stopped using that list because i wasnt having a challenge anymore with it. Its one of those lists that literally comes down to who's dice failed first, and i have better staying power except against triple jumps.

Theres a valid reason why Hux is difficult to field. He's insane if used properly, putting him on a 25ish point platform instead of 40 would open the flood gates for nasty combos.

It's a TIE so I'm sorry you think it's redundant, but a TIE from such a prominent movie will end up in the game.

They have changed the text on cards before, and those wings are most definitely not fixed, take a look at the mechanisms where the wings are attached in the middle that they both have in common, so even if they TIE Striker Adaptive Ailerons exists that in no way excludes TIE Reaper Adaptive Ailerons.

In terms of the comparison with the TIE Shuttle, that's a smaller ship, a weaker ship, likely with few hit points and I actually think the TIE Reaper dial would be better.

As for Krennic, Arquitens-class Light Cruiser is twice as long as the CR90/Raider Corvettes and I can't see them adding anything that big to X-wing.

In that you are right, my friend...

Another Auto-Win List... sure. Played by the God of X-Wing. :D

Yes, it's big. But maybe someday FFG decides to go for larger epics? The Light Cruiser would be a great rival for a Rebel Nebulon-B...

It probably deserves its own title, similar but different.

One things I'd like to see woudl be for it to have a title that the Striker can use that gives a crew and a bomb slot instead of AA. And then its own title that gives a different loadout.

Would work if it wasn't that thing connecting both wings at the back. Sorry, but the designer messed up with this one.

Nope, I think those rods you can see poking out the back allow the wings to rotate.

technically the striker should have had a crew and bomb slot (or two). Its a minelayer and its layout even has a slot dedicated to the bombing for a second crew.
Its also not super maneuverable like ffg made it to be. Which is why its probably the easiest thing to fix to behave correctly, you cant have both titles and once it doesnt have AA it becomes laughably slow, perfect for what it should be doing.

Not saying strikers are bad and need a fix. Mechanic wise, theyre awesome, just inaccurate lol. Though im kinda glad they didnt give it a bomb slot to begin with because oh man the striker would go nuts with a bomb and the title.

If you say so...

They made the HWK a small base ship so they could just mess with the scale.

Wait, what? How did they mess with the scale in the game for the HWK-290? I'm genuinly curious where you are getting that idea. The only thing I can think of is your first and only exposure to the ship was the stat blocks from WotC's rpg.. which were clearly wrong, because they made it larger, much larger, than either the in game model from Dark Forces (The debut of the ship) or the cutscene from Dark Forces II: Jedi Knight would dare suggest.

x_wing_miniatures___custom_tie_sk_upgrad

I suppose the crew would be occupied with manning the bombs.

As it should be. TIEs are a thematic core of the Empire and FFG will never make a small based Empire ship that isn't a TIE.

personally i dont think i'd use the cannon much.

Cannons all tend to have the same issue: except for the Scyk, they all have a 3die gun anyway . Turrets atleast offer alternate ways of firing and ordnance are heavier hitting.
If i even use that slot it would just be a Tractorbeam for when i see a R3 shot that could mess with someone more than my gun would lol

Yes, an Ailerons move, followed by a bomb drop, followed by a normal move? That's basically mini-SLAM territory.

I wonder if that was originally the plan?

It probably would have been if they'd got the actual tech specs of the ships in anything like enough time.

I'd love to read some kind of listbuilding/strategy article about that.

Exactly. People always say the Hwk-290 is to small, myself included. Then I went back and watched all the cutscenes from JK, and I realized that the size is almost spot on. Also after watching those cutscenes, my real issue with the HWK-290 is that if flys like a brick. In those cutscenes, it flys really good.

Agreed. While size is a bit screwy thanks to disagreement from several sources, nearly all of them describe it as a fast, agile ship.
