It was Shara. I actually came up with an interesting idea for an ability for Leia: Once per round after another friendly ship defends you may immediately perform an attack on the attacker.

As for the muanylti base thing... X-WING already operates at such a small scale that there really isn't any smaller to go for actual craft. That works for Armada because there is a huge range of sizes between ISD and TIE fighter but here it would be a bit silly.

Nothing prevents generic pilots from having pilot abilities.

You could have,

TIE/droid mk1: when you gain a focus token, another Friendly TIE/droid mk1 witHin range 1 may perform a free focus action.

TIE/droid mk2: friendly TIE/droid ships within range 1-2 may spend focus and evade tokens on your ship as if they were on their ship.

TIE/droid mk3: you may acquire target locks at any distance. As an action, you may give a blue target lock token to another friendly ship within range 1.

TIE/droid mk4: Action: TIE/droid ships within range 1-2 may reroll up to one dice when attacking or defender. You may not attack this round.

So it's the 1st of August. Is there going to be a Wave 12 announcement at the end of the month at Gen Con?

At the start of the thread, my predictions were N-1, Delta-class shuttle, and SS-54. But based on Imperial Assault releases, this might be a possibility:

• Imperial/Scum: Ark Angel
• Scum: Volt Cobra
• Rebel: Phantom II

And of course, Wave 12.5 will be some Last Jedi stuff.

curious if they'd make the ark angel a small or large base. Its another ship that should really be a medium, since its clearly bigger than a TIE Adv but not dwarfing it.

Errrr, it's like the size of the jm5k!

....whatever the Wave 12 ships, lets just hope they have/had different play-testers than Wave 11. Those guys either sucked at the game or had screaming comments to the designers that were not listened to, in my humble opinion.

Is it? i got the impression it was only 2x the size of a tie adv, while the jm5k is more like 3.5x or so.

Going off this image, it seems to be bigger than 2x an Advanced, but I'm not sure Jumpmaster size.

hmm, yeah thatd be a large base. It looks the same size of a firespray. Actually it just straightup looks like a firespray with a changed hull proportions (thinner body bigger "wings")

Not sure if I'm sold on the colors. Combined with the structural design of the ship it seems a little busy.

Yeah, the visual design on the Ark Angel is kind of a cluster****. If FFG did make it into a mini (rather than just throwing in Aphra and other characters from Vader/her comics as crew cards with some other stuff) I'd hope they'd maybe make some more sense of it. It might just be weird comic perspective though.

Also like a lot of Disney run canon it's kind of a lazy design. It looks like a Firespray with big wings, big boosters and some ball turrets glued on.

And you probably can't land it at all. Atrocious and impractical, like many of those new designs.

(and I was happy that abominations like the Sun Crusher were erased from history...)

Agreed. It's not my favorite ship design, but I did enjoy Aphra in the Vader comic, so having her and some of the other character introduced in that comic would be nice, plus it might give the Empire some more tools that it could use.

A ship only a mother (or 2 psychotic droids) could love:

I don't know much about the comics (or anything outside the movies lol. I don't hold it against anyone for knowing the EU and stuff though.) but the ship design could grow on me if everything behind the wings were less big.

I do agree on the ship. It might have potential if FFG tones down some elements.
