, here's my "ground breaking" post.
Let me start with on a serious note to everyone here. I sincerely apologize for my spotty participation since Wednesday. I signed up for the game with the expectation that I would have a fairly normal work week. Usually I would have time to read posts and to respond, but this week has been far from normal. I realize that my absence has had an impact on the game, more so than my newbie mistakes. I hope that you all will accept my apology, and it's my hope that I can contribute something to the game with my thoughts below.
I'm not rebel scum. No deception...no brilliant plays. I paraphrased Stanley's description when I wrote my first post. The actual description I received reads: "Your name is Stanley Anecdote, and you are a loyalist! Hearing of the horrible attack you volunteered to fight the rebels however you must, even if you die!" That's it, other than alignment and town. There is nothing about winning, so it seems Stanley is a loser. I created his job as a poet after asking Ghost some questions. I chose to make him a poet because of his last name. I just wanted to have some fun with him, within the context of the game. Maybe I should not have done that...so chalk it up as another newbie mistake.
I started working on a list last night after I caught up with yesterday's posts. This is what I came up with:
Definitely Town: Me, Truthi
Possibly Town: Nor, Vis, Ovi, Mad
Undecided: Ninja, Oni, Mood
Today I moved Oni and Ovi to the Definitely Town category. I moved Nor there also. Here's my current list:
Definitely Town: Me, Truthi, Ovi, Oni, Nor.
Possibly Town: Vis, Mad
Undecided: Ninja, Mood
I'll offer a few explanations:
I've seen enough from Nor to convince me he's a townie.
I caught Ovi's cop reference and I thought he might be town. Turns out he was.
Vis and Mad seem townie. I'm watching them chat with each other. I'm learning a lot, but I'm still looking for more.
I'm undecided on Ninja and Mood. I need to study each more, though I'm feeling a little Force tingle regarding Mr. No First Name Normal as possible rebel scum.
I am also currently working on a hypothesis regarding Ovi's murder. I think his cop reference was picked up on very early in the game by the rebel who killed him. And I think there is a hint regarding who this rebel is buried in an innocuous post. I also have an idea about the roleblock. I'll be watching tomorrow's posts to see if my thoughts are correct.
Lastly,
I wanted to vote this morning, but I didn't get to. Duty called and the hammer dropped faster than I expected, hence my mistake.
That won't happen again.

Please someone disprove me here. My assumption is that moodswing could know the proper wording for a vanilla text somehow despite being a mafia. Otherwise he is indeed a townie and I can only make a shot in the dark and hope for hitting a mafia.

I asked my secretary to warn me if our cop Mr. Sheep came under threat, although she fell asleep and I woke up to find a dead cop. I had the intent of protecting him at night, since I am Sir Dre, the medic of the match.
Happy now? I believe that the scum picked up what I dropped in the end of last day, so no point in hiding anymore (I ended up as subtle as a wrecking ball on that breadcrumbing attempt)
