Scum Aces with Alpha Strike and Bid

Hello here is another list I have been mulling over for a store championship. It's scum Aces. What do you guys think?

It's a hell of an alpha strike if you can pull it off.

Problem is if your opponent can weather it their return fire will be against 3 ships with zero focus or evade tokens on defense and 4 health each. Being at range 3 obviously helps with auto thrusters though.

Switch Glitterstim with Scavanger Crane.

Thing is, glitterstim may make the difference between a PS9 kill or not - especially on something big, like a jumpmaster, and it certainly stops N'dru being an easy kill for return fire (he's the obvious target as he lacks autothrusters and is only agility 2)

It should definitely nail a kill in the first volley, and it's more capable than most alpha strike lists; assuming you were to come up against the Dengar/Tel list, if you get your locks out you should be able to kill Dengar in return for one of the protectorates (probably Fenn), and the two survivors should be able to handle him fairly well.

I did have dengar in mind when I made this list. Average rolls should kill dengar in one round. Then I have a good shot at surviving return fire from both jump masters. Since I would have the bid at 97 points that makes dengar move first and means no locks for his ships in the first round of combat. So average rolls by the jumps without torpedoes means that fenn rau has a good chance to survive the first engagement. 3 dice primary from dengar and his revenge shot on fenn so another 3 dice shot probably does 2 or 3 damage to him. Tel without torpedoes would have to roll 2 hits or focus for a max of two hits. Fenn at range three would only need to roll two evades with 4 dice or one evade and one blank for auto thrusters to survive.

Even if Fenn bites it I think the other two ships can handle tel by themselves. If Fenn does live then Tel would not last too long afterwards.

This is a pretty good result vs the worlds winning list I think. The weakness of course would be against a K wing bomb list. Vs the bomb list I would have to play like an imperial triple aces list where I split deployment one ship on the far right, one in the middle and one on the far left. Which ever ship they go for turns and runs. The other ships then turn in and get pot shots where possible.

Scum triple alpha aces is definitely a coming thing. Especially once Vaksai drops and you get a crazy cheap high PS alpha that unlike N'Dru also has some late game legs. THings like Hel Fenn and Talonbane, Fenn Talonebane and Genesis, etc.
