Jake does Jake-things, hitting hard with prockets.

Nien Nunb tries to boost into range 1 where he uses EI and then rages - no stress, but 1 Focus + Rerolls! Also R2D2 to regen. I'm not so sure about pattern analyzer. It's great, especially with Talon rolls, but maybe another Tech would be better?

The Stresshog hits hard and, well, stresses, so he allows me to keep other difficult lists in check. It's also great value for just 26pt, as he also does quite some consistent damage with TLT. The points make it obvious that Biggs could be a substitute, but first I hate Biggs, and second I really want that stress, while third the stressbot on Nien is possible but it makes him even more of a primary target than he already is.

I flew it once against DengarBossk and managed a 100-0 win, so I think it can work.

What would you change? What do you think?

Edit: After going 1-3 in a store championship, I definitely need to make these adjustments:

1. Swap Pattern Analyzer for Sensor Cluster. Nien often ends up in arc range 1. Which means lots of dice. As in, blow up in a single shot.
2. Remove the BTL title. Great if you're able to pull it off, but I'm not. The Y-Wing did basically no damage throughout the whole day. I shot 3 times iirc. So yeah...

And regarding flying: try to keep Nien out of arc if possible. He's not a jouster, but I flew him as such.
I also realized that the whole 40 points are ridiculous because all they do is a 4dice attack with TL+Focus. It's super fun, but definitely not good. Compare that to a Norra in range 1 - she'll hit harder and can take more.

I just don't like Jake, or any A-Wings, honestly. They cannot push damage through in the current meta unless you're talking GSP Snap/Juke A's. The other 2 ships are really nifty! However, at ps7 highest, I don't know how well the list will be able to deal with aces. Perhaps switch out Jake with Ahsoka to give Nien a PS 12 boost as well as an extra action anyway.

VI on Jake makes him a 9, so you can use him as an ace hunter with the prockets. However, you need him moving last, and a lot of ace list build in a 2 point initiative.I like the action economy on nunb, plus no need for TL, since you have the rage re-rolls. It's a little squishy, especially Jake. My question is on formation: Do you fly in with Nien and the hog, while Jake tries to flank them, or do you have a different strategy?

Whaaaaat, how can you not love A-Wings?! :D

It's the constant struggle - VI or Juke? Because PTL (and soon Intensity instead) is basically stapled on him. But PS7 is too low and he dies often, while the lack of Juke can still be countered with Focus+TL.

The one game I played I had Nien flanking left, Jake right (both at the edge) and kept the Stresshog a bit back in the middle. The stresshog tries to cross the t while Nien and Jake come from opposing sides. The difficulty is to time it so all will shoot at the same time. For that effect I can of course also keep Nien closer to the hog, which was my first intention, too.

I see. did it work? Or did he die in a fiery blaze of glory?

It actually did, kind of. Tokenstacked Jake got shot by Bossk at range 3. The 0.2% chance happened that he rolled 4 red vs 0 green. We rerolled that one because it would have ended the game right then and there. And because it was a test run we agreed that such a low chance really changes the result too much. On the reroll Jake only lost 1 shield which is quite expected. After that I could first hide behind a rock and then circle around on Dengar.

Meanwhile Nien rushed down on the other edge, also turning around a rock and then getting a range1 shot on Dengar, from out of arc. Dengar tried to sloop, and I misjudged it, but still ended up out of arc. The block failed, but it didn't matter so much in the end. This is when Jake circled around and shot his prockets.

During all this, the Y-Wing cruised along, just in range 3 and also put some damage through.

All together it was a bit too much for Dengar who couldn't keep them in arc. After that Bossk is not much of a problem, he's not maneuverable enough.

Just had my second game with the list, against a Whisper/Duchess/Sabacc list that got 3rd at the last tournament I went to.
Seriously, this list is awesome, super fun to play!

But I have a new question: BTL yes or no?

The double stress is great of course, but it requires so much better flying instead

I'm glad it's working out. And fun lists are always better. there's little point in a game if you're not having fun.

I am not a fan of BTL. It's useful, but you have to be a very good pilot with the Y-wing. I personally, am not that great of a y pilot
