Are we stuck in a time warp?

It happens..

Also this is funny:

"They'll be out for GenCon, then.

Then we'll get the Wave XII announcement.

Then The Last Jedi announcements in September."

This has been business as usual for the last three years, no foresight or other culty gobbledygook talk is required to know how things are with FFG now-a-daze.

I was told by a FFG employee that most time the reason for it taking so long is that they first have to fill up a container, then they have to fill up the ship to capacity before it takes off. This process is not a set schedule of time and neither is the other side of the ocean for customs. It could be as fast as 4 weeks total (Yeah, that will never happen) or as much as 16 weeks.

my local store is advising a release date of July 13 (!)

Dang, if my local dealer can pull that off I'd be impressed

not that it's on the dealer but I hope the release is that early, I am skeptical though...

That seems a bit unrealistic, although I hope it is true. If it is set to release July 13th it would need to go to shipping this week.

Some of the product has already arrived at the Australian distributor a week or two ago. So it's very much on pace to be available sooner rather than later.

I'm in the shipping industry and I could fix that for them. They don't need to fill an entire 20FT or 40FT container prior to shipping nor do they have to fill an entire vessel, that is pure insanity.

Seriously, i'll do it. Get me in touch with them and i'll handle the logistics and freight.

Is Wave 11 really the three ships announced? I've been hoping to get one-ship-per-faction-only waves for a while now, so I would be fine with that. But with The Last Jedi at the end of the year, is there a "risk" of having two more ships (First Order and Resistance) added as a last-minute surprise?

Maybe Wave 12 will be all about The Last Jedi instead. Or the new ships from the movie would be late additions to Wave 11, in November/December. Just curious about what others think.

Wave 11 is just the three ships. Adding anything else this late would be a surprise, though not impossible - given that some stores have already reported receiving delivery of the wave internationally, and haven't reported any extra ships being included.

Wave 12 might be TLJ focussed, but the pattern for the last 2 years has been three (or four) 'normal' ships plus late-added two movie ships for the December/January wave, and 3 'normal' ships for the summer, with two aces packs/epics in between. So Wave 12 (not wave 11) will probably have 3 'normal' +2 movie.

Homer's will be happy to be sure. But why would any real pilot desire to fly a TLT ship? Where's the sport in that?

I'm just getting into X-wing and don't have any TLT ships, so this will my first.
