Rune of Hearth and Home

By ventura72, in Warhammer Invasion Rules Questions

This Dwarf card is shown in the article "Fire Rains from the Sky"

Action: Heal all damage to your Capital

Also, you can only play this during your turn.

My question is can you use this to heal a Burning Zone? I don't believe you should be able to, however, is there anything in the rulebook or FAQ that specifically deals with this?

answer :

no

................

and what do you base your answer on?

Is there anything in the rules or recently released FAQ that would forbid you healing a burning zone?

When a zone is burning all damage is removed from it (in the rules, pg13), so there is no damage on a buring zone to heal. The card does not say that it does anyting with buring zones. (the card specifically say that it heals damage)

Edit: First! gran_risa.gif lengua.gif

there is nothing new in the faq about a burning zone...

So the rule is gived by the rulebook:

Any time a section has as
many (or more) damage tokens as it has hit points,
that section is considered overrun and burning.
All damage tokens on that section are immediately
replaced with a burn token.

a burning zone has NO damage token ... so healing is useless

Yes, there is. A burning zone cannot be assigned damage (FAQ, last page) and all the damage counters have been removed (rulebook, p13).

Since it doesn't have any damage, healing the damage doesn't do anything. If you play the Rune, a burning zone remains burning.

I actually don't see anything about Burning Zones in the FAQ. Maybe I'm missing it. However, the other reason given, that damage has been removed and now it is Burning and therefore has no damage on it does make sense.

Thanks.

It's on the last page, like I said.

Copy-n-paste:

Q: Can I still use abilities/
draw cards/get resources if
the relevant zone is burning?
A: Yes. A burning zone still functions
normally except that it cannot be
assigned damage.
Q: Can I attack an already
burning zone?
A: Yes.
