Build a The Good, The Bad and the Ugly squad,

By devotedknight, in X-Wing

If anyone is up for the fun challenge, build a squadron with the theme, “The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly” Squad.

Here is my squad

The Good;

(34) = (34) Countess Ryad, (1) VI, (-2) Tie/x7, (1) TIE Mk II

The Bad;

(27) = (22) Pure Sabacc, (3) Ruthlessness, (0) Adaptive Ailerons, (2) LWF

The Ugly;

(38) = (26) Deathrain, (0) Collision Detector, (2) Extra Munitions, (4) Cluster Mines, (4) Cluster Missiles, (2) LWF

100 points total

This is good; I'm snorting.

Soontir Fel -- Royal Guard TIE, Push the Limit, Autothrusters, Stealth Device (35) Good

Tetran Cowall -- Royal Guard TIE, Push the Limit, Autothrusters, Stealth Device (32) Bad

Kir Kanos -- Royal Guard TIE, Autothrusters, Stealth Device (29) Ugly

(96)

Good Omicron Group Pilot -- Collision Detector, Emperor Palpatine (29)

Bad Maarek Stele -- TIE/x7, Marksmanship (36)

Ugly Delta Squadron Pilot -- Autoblaster (35)

(100)

Would fly these squads in a heartbeat.

We don't have uglies in X-wing yet :P

Predator

The Bad:

Jek Porkins (36)

R5-D8

Thought of a similar squad when I read the title.

Curious about Navigator though, doesn't seem like it would synergize too well with a QJ since reverse and sloops aren't the same "bearings" as straight or bank maneuvers.

Good: Guri, Intensity, Titles, Collision Detector, AT, BMST

Bad: Moralo "EVAL", HLC, Boba Fett, Greedo, 4-LOM (so evil!)

Ugly: Unkar Plutt. Dude is fugly

This is a squad I actually named that way. I've been used it occasionally for some months now. Good fun.

Fenn Rau — Protectorate Starfighter 28
Push the Limit 3
Autothrusters 2
Concord Dawn Protector 1
Ship Total: 34
Boba Fett (Scum) — Firespray-31 39
Adaptability 0
Homing Missiles 5
Extra Munitions 2
Guidance Chips 0
Slave I 0
Ship Total: 46
Unkar Plutt — Quadjumper 17
Intelligence Agent 1
Spacetug Tractor Array 2
Ship Total: 20

Yea, this fits the theme perfectly, considering the characters' stories. I mean, you could also use someone who's morally ugly instead of Plutt, but the guy's physical ugliness is unmistakable.

T-70 X-Wing: · Nien Nunb (29)
Snap Shot (2)
· R3-A2 (2)
Integrated Astromech (0)
Pattern Analyzer (2)
Attack Shuttle: · Ezra Bridger (20)
Push The Limit (3)
Autoblaster Turret (2)
Stealth Device (3)
B-Wing: · Ten Numb (31)
Veteran Instincts (1)
Tractor Beam (1)
B-Wing/E2 (1)
· Bistan (2)
-- TOTAL ------- 99p. --

The good, the bad, and the ugly.

Nien is undoubtedly a good guy, and a good pilot.

Ezra has his flirtation with the Dark Side time and again, and I couldn't think of any other "bad guy" Rebel pilots. He also is a pretty bad ship with that build.

Ten is ugly, and his build is pretty atrocious. It isn't absolutely useless, but he flies like a brick, dies like a brick, doesn't do anything beyond that.

We've also got this:

X-Wing: · Wes Janson (29)
Adaptability (Increase) (0)
· R3-A2 (2)
Integrated Astromech (0)
ARC-170: · Thane Kyrell (26)
Seismic Torpedoes (2)
Alliance Overhaul (0)
VCX-100: · "Chopper" (37)
Autoblaster Turret (2)
Tactical Jammer (1)
· "Zeb" Orrelios (1)
-- TOTAL ------- 100p. --

Wes is good, always fun. And a good guy.

Thane, a defector, and kinda unlikeable in the book he is in. With the loadout he has, it's bad, especially as the rest of the list doesn't benefit from him, nor support him.

Chopper is one ugly droid. No denying that. And his build is like asking for a five dice Fenn shot to the face.

Why do I suddenly hear flutes?

The jumpmaster is good in that it is the most stupidly efficient ship in the game

The jumpmaster is bad for the game because itdrastically reduces variety in competitive settings

The jumpmaster is ugly

Bam, torpscouts qualify

I thought by it's very nature, this would require, 1 rebel pilot, 1 imperial pilot, 1 S&V pilot...

When I originally saw this thread I was thinking:

good (heroes) = rebel

bad (evil)= imperial

ugly (:P) = scum

id be down for this game mode if they had a 33 point limit each. Some interesting lists could emerge

Could make for an interesting event; especially with the benefits from cross-faction synergies that normally aren't allowed to exist (e.g. Shara Bey with either Omega Leader or ATC Vader).
