Stunning - i love it!

That does look very nice.

Looks like it just slammed into an Imperial Class Star Destroyer coming out of hyperspace...nice!

That's exactly what I asked for. I specifically requested it look like the ship from Rogue One. The creator even watched the movie to see how the ship hits and get some ideas from that. The wreck is for a 3-part Epic Battle of Scarif scenario I'm working on.

Who made it? Me wants link!

BRO!!!!!

This is awesome looking, the ripped apart hull has such excellent detail and with the ships flying between the wreckage it looks super thematic

  • Only ships within United States.

What would make it real sick; put it on official obstacles.

I'm sure you could request that. I considered it but it wouldn't be legal for tournament play anyway so I thought it best to have the bases mirror the outline of the broken ship halves for casual play. The two small ships I bought from him have bases that match the shape of official debris tokens

Having 3D obstacles does cause some issues with gameplay not the least of which is what happens when a ship should be on top of one! It would still make things interesting yet keep things honest.

I asked to have the ship halves to be removable from the bases. If a ship lands on one, pop the 3D part off and viola. The cargo pods look like they are removable as well. I'll find out when it arrives in the mail.

I have 3D asteroids, and we often just fudge it. It's casual, after all. This poses a little more trouble, though. I suspect we would just treat it like a bump.

It's more for thematic dramatic effect than anything else. I wanted it to pop on the mat and scream "Rogue One". I'm pretty sure it's removable from its base (I requested it to be) so if it becomes a pain when ships get near, I'll just pop the 3D parts off.

That looks amazing! Nice work there.

There are rules for using the GR-75 model as an obstacle with the expansion. I would follow those rules for the two large halves (bump + damage) and probably use regular debri rules for the smaller pieces.

Quote

Players may use huge ships as obstacles instead of as a ship in standard play. To do so, flip the huge ship token to the starfield side and follow the rules for adding obstacles described on page 20 of the core set rulebook, with the following change: one player places the huge ship obstacle first instead of his three asteroid tokens. Huge ships may not be used as obstacles during tournament play, except in casual events in which the Tournament Organizer has announced prior to the event that they will allow huge ships to be used as obstacles.

The huge ship obstacle is not controlled by any player. It does not move, and it cannot be attacked, damaged, or destroyed.

When a small or large ship executes a maneuver and the final position of its base overlaps a huge ship, the overlapping ship must follow the rules under “Plastic Bases Overlapping” described on page 17 of the core set rulebook. Additionally, the player controlling the overlapping ship rolls one attack die and suffers any damage and critical damage rolled.

Huge ships obstruct attacks (even ones which aren't obstacles) but overlapping one does not impede a ship from attacking.

Yeah, I planned on playing it something like that. This is all for a custom 3-part Battle of Scarif mission, though. There won't be 12 obstacles on the 6x3 playmat because everything is going to have to match the look I'm going for. I'm bending some things here and there but I'm trying to mimic the Battle of Scarif in X-wing scale with a bit of my own flourish thrown in to spice it up a bit. Like, a Raider will be a Devastator substitute for the 3rd mission and a 3D printed CR-12 Corvette will be a Hammerhead stand-in until FFG makes one (and you know they eventually will).
