Hey, me and my gf are just starting up and we have the Force Awakens Core set and would like to buy the old one, I want Luke etc and be nice to have more dice as well. However I can't seem to buy it anywhere for a reasonable price. I presume the stock is low and it needs a reprint. Is one scheduled to happen or anything? I could try and ebay the set if needed.
Sorry for noob question, bet it gets asked a lot but couldn't find anything.

You can check FFG's "Upcoming" link at the top of the page to see where a product is in the reprint queue. Scroll down, the "Awaiting Reprint" items are towards the bottom, and will move up as they go to "At the Printer", "On the Boat", and "Shipping Now."

Unfortunately, it's really difficult to say since FFG is cagey about ship dates. Just given initial shipping time it's probably 8-12 weeks out if it hasn't hit "At the Printer" yet.
I checked amazon.de and they have them in stock at reasonable price ... if a German language version doesn't bother you.
You might try ebay, too -- often people sell entire collections, so you can get more for your money.

I've just ordered from the German Amazon, a little cheaper than from the U.S.. I looked on ebay but prefer new. Thanks for all your help

Actually amazon.de has plenty of english language core sets as well, just as cheap.

The best part? The cheapest source is Tritex games, my favorite UK store for x-wing supplies, because they have cogotwo templates and cheap international shipping. Guess their last red core set boxes are stored at some amazon logistic center
