I like using under utilized ships quite a lot (i feel bad playing with Miranda and Warden bombers )

now i love A wings and i fancy trying to get a mini alpha strike list going (without the stapled autothrusters on them) i have included biggs as i only have 3 a wings (i'll be proxying rage as have none of them either) I'm torn between Biggs in his normal setup (to get the A wings to let loose without a problem) or Gemmer Sojan with Prockets, Autothrusters and Crackshot. Biggs would give me a 2 point bid.

plan is charge in, play some crappy music to get them raging, let loose the proton monkeys and the cackle manically spending the focus to either guarantee hits or to get a couple of sneaky crits in there.

i know its not meta breaking but thoughts?

Once you've spent your prockets, or if you fail to get R1 which isn't all that unlikely, you're going to find you're unable to push damage through fast enough to keep up, and you'll be a lot squishier than you think without Autothrusters.

I doubt this is worth it.

Rage and no way to clear double stress in a single turn has been problematic in my experience. As you'll be using your action to Rage, and so won't be able to boost as a result, it'll be tricky to get those Range 1 shots you need.

That raises an interesting thought. Intensity + Proton Rockets is probably a solid combo.

I hadn't thought about intensity (outside of Jake Farrell anyways) the way i would want them would mean i have enough for a prototype with autothrusters only so no Biggs protection.

It's not got a lot of use outside those contexts. Jake, Poe, Snap, Vader, and maybe /sfs with Comm Relay are about the only uses I've ever seen suggested for it. Scum could start making good use of it too - if it weren't for the fact that Mindlink is Just Better.
