Water Patch Mai

By Smazzurco, in UFS Deck Building

I am not happy with the amount of 4 checks...and i can't find some of my cards, lol. But here is what i plan on running at our water patch

Starter Mai x1

Attacks - 10

Stardust drop x4

Sakura's Shinku Hadoken x2

Kunai x4

Actions - 10

Rejection x4

Tag Along x4

Pull of the Tides x2

Foundations - 36

Shotokan x4

Shinobi Tradition x4

Gorgeous Team x4

Chinese Boxing x4

The Bigger They Are x4

Misdirection x2

Shooting Capoera x3

Ibis Minuet x4

Stained Honor x4

Chester's Backing x2

Blind Loyalty x1

Ok so i can't find my 4th shooting cap, i only have 2 Chester's, and i think i have 1-2 more blind loyalties but no clue where... The stained honor is probably getting removed, it was more for the standard version, because after checking a 5-6 on an olcadans it guaranteed passing a stardust as like the 3-4th card in my pool. MIght replace them with Soul of Lling-sheng Su

Was thinking of putting in KFT...misdirection is basically only used to get ibis down, not really as a dmg pump, so i think with 4x tag along and 4x TGT i am ok only running 2...

suggestions?

Right now i have 4 slots open, unless i find some of my "missing" cards...i was thinking of maybe adding free will...

Try Program Malfunction it's good as hell when you don't have Chinese Boxing out there and sidedeck Big Cyclones cause you might see awakening out there and you don't want that.

I don't think you really need Shotokan in there. YOu have plenty of card draw to begin with. I WOULD run KFT, but not for it's speed boost. Having KFT is absolutely necessary in this tournament because of Pull of the Tides and Tag Along's character cancellation.

The card I'm loving in my water deck is 00101.01101.00001.01111. Extra attacks without the low CC's and with Shooting Capoera and Mission of Peace it lets you always have a hand full of attacks. I think Sakura's Shinku Hadouken is kinda dead-weight. It's a good, solid card. But if you're just looking for an attack there's better ways to go... Clones and Soldier of Sparta are obvious choices. If you like the vit gain on the Shinku Hadouken, then I have two words for you... Battle. Prowess. All in all, however... I think Agohani Geri would do better with your deck... and also, while it does check lower Windmill Waster may be a better way to go for your throw loop. Firstly, it's low difficulty means that even if you checked it to play it, you'd only need to commit 2, versus 3 on your Stardusts (4diff/2check versus 6diff/3check). And secondly because it gives your opponent less to work with if they're using Battle Prowess themselves.

Hybrid Style is another great choice as it would let you loop rejections and at the same time get your Kunais back.

This is the only forum where i wish i could edit...lol. I moved the deck around a bit before you posted. The reason i have stardust over windmill is the reversal. I can block my opponents attack (or blind loyalty), reverse with stardust, and then return stardust and a card from my discard to my hand. No reason to need my kunais back as i dont use my momentum, just need 1 to do mais ability.

Right now i am 1 card short. I am thinking of either pulling out one more stardust, and adding 2 windmill wasters; adding a 4th rejection; or (maybe pull something else out) adding 1-2 00101.01101.00001.01111
