I glanced through the articles and didn't see one of these yet--if there already is one, and my post is redundant, I apologize.

I remember people speculating up and down about who would make it into the Spark of Rebellion set, so I figure it's time to do so with Empire at War. As of this writing, the confirmed character cards are as follows:

Red Villain: Thrawn (legendary)

Blue Hero: Mace Windu (ledgendary)

Yellow Hero: Sabine Wren (legendary), Ezra Bridger (rare)

So, who else do you all think will be in this set? Some of the choices for SoR seemed kinda random for me (looking at you, Luminaria), but I think that since this next set seems to be focusing on the Rebels show (or possibly the animated shows in general), we might be able to guess a few of the characters who will be making appearances.

Here's my guesses:

Blue Villain: Maul seems like a shoo-in for the legendary. He's a popular movie character who also had a strong presence in the TV show. I also think we'll be seeing at least one of the Inquisitors showing up as a rare--maybe even as the generic.

Red Villain: Possibly Kallus. He could get a hero card later on, though. We've already got three variants on "Stormtrooper" as the Villain Red generics, so perhaps we'll get a Battle Droid or something this time around.

Yellow Villain: I'd guess either Boba Fett or Cad Bane as the legendary, and am leaning toward Cad Bane (as I think Boba will likely by the legendary for the next core set). I could see a young Boba cropping up as a rare, or possibly Hondo (if he's not a hero or even the first neutral).

Blue Hero: Kanan Jarrus seems very likely as a rare. Ezra needs a partner so he can include Blue cards in his deck. Jedi Sentinel seems like a good candidate for the generic.

Red Hero: Probably Hera, Zeb, and/or Rex. I REALLY want a Clone Wars era-Rex as the legendary--guess I'll just have to wait and see. I really want a Clone Trooper as the generic--we've already got two Rebel generics as Red, so I could see it being either that or a Resistance Trooper/Pilot.

Yellow Hero: We already have two of the Rebels main characters confirmed as Yellow Heroes, so maybe someone from another medium for variety's sake. Perhaps Lando, or a Senator variant of Padme (which is actually able to do damage this time around).

I think Saw Gurera would make a cool yellow hero, and at this stage with only 1 unique yellow hero unrevealed I don't think they will drop Lando in as a normal rare waiting to give him a legendary slot in the future I suspect.

My guess for Legendaries are The Grand Inquisitor, Cassian and Boba. Reasoning:

Blue villain is pretty much likely to be either TGI or Maul. They need to space out Blue Villains more than any other faction due to a lack of characters; in a Rebels focused set I think TGI gets the nod.

Red heroes, Cassian not being in the Rogue One set was a pretty big omission. I can see him getting in as the Legendary, particularly if we also get K2. My other guess would be Wedge as an OT rep.

Yellow villains, I think Boba makes sense as the 'chase' character of the set, the popular OT series character for the 'main' fanbase.

With the main guesses, this would give them three Rebels reps, one Rogue 1/modern rep, one prequel rep and one OT rep. I think we'll see something similar to that, though three Rebels reps might be too much. But if that were the case, I would have expected Thrawn to get dropped, unless they aren't considering him a Rebels character?

For rares, honestly there's too many options to really speculate. I'm sure we'll see a couple of Rebels characters, probably a random prequel character or two. I'd expect Cassian even if he's not a Legendary, and possibly the other two missing R1 characters. Possibly someone from TFA (Hux?), and then a few notable but not important OT characters. And I wouldn't be surprised if we continue seeing new versions of the mains as rares, like a Yellow Luke or Red Han.

Given what we've seen, I think Thrawn is the exception, not the rule to what is being covered from Rebels. Sabine and Ezra both represent roles from Season 1 of Rebels, so I think it's safe to say that Maul WON'T be the Blue Villain Legendary and the Grand Inquisitor will.

I don't think we'll see anything more from Rogue One until a few sets down, but I could be wrong.

Mace really does throw me off, so maybe we'll get a few more Clone Wars inclusions. Maybe Rex, Young Ahsoka, LS Anakin, Hondo, so on.

There is an image of the display box for EaW on the ffg upcoming products page. Leia is depicted on the side of the box, wielding her pistol - I'm guessing this will be a red upgrade. There are also four dice visible, one of each color. The yellow die definitely has a picture of Lando.

Darth Maul as blue Villain legendary, Jar Jar Binks as yellow hero rare and Hera Syndulla as red hero legendary.

I was actually thinking the same thing.

I agree that Cassian seems like an odd omission, although I do think he could easily be yellow instead of red. Sadly though, I'm guessing he won't show up in this or any other set in the near future, given we're out of the Rogue One advertising cycle (games are frequently treated as advertisements for movies).

Given FFG's choice of Rebels characters in their other games, I agree that Season 1 characters are the most likely (especially seeing the way Ezra was handled - his flavor text is from the pilot episode). Therefore, I think heroes being Ezra, Sabine, Kanan, and Hera, and villains being Kallus and the Grand Inquisitor makes the most sense. Zeb is also a possibility. I'm guessing the only reason for Thrawn is his old-canon prominence.

What makes me sad is that Thrawn's appearance most likely rules out Grand Moff Wilhuff Tarkin, who I really wish would finally appear in this game, but whose ability, cost, and rarity would likely be too similar to Thrawn's for him to appear as well...

I think that a rebel pilot makes sense, given the TIE Pilot in SoR. Stormtroopers seem overdone, so I wouldn't be surprised if we see battle droids. I'm also guessing they will have an original-trilogy tie-in or two, likely continuing their bounty hunter lineup with Bossk and perhaps Dengar.

I think a prequels character or two is pretty much required, but they do already have Mace Windu, so another isn't a guarantee. I expect they might have Zam Wessel and/or another well-liked Jedi general like Kit Fisto.

I'm guessing they will also have at least a few cards that can be played as interrupts, jumping the action queue to right behind an opponent's action, thus making things like Rey more interactive to play against. Which actually really annoys me, because it'll just hurt blue heroes more without taking on the problem of Fast Hands or Poe/Maz, but it will be a fun new game mechanic.

I'm expecting more weapons that are direct copies from Imperial Assault (such as Vibroknucklers, Holdout Blaster, IQA-11 Blaster Rifle, etc.), but right off the top of my head, I can't actually think of one that doesn't already exist!

Finally, I'm also expecting either Ezra's lightsaber as a mixed damage upgrade or Ezra's wrist slingshot, but leaning towards the second one since their Ezra is the early Season 1 version.

Weird that Leia's on the side. Do you think it's possible that young (pre Episode IV) Leia is in there as a yellow character? That would be awesome! It would go well thematically with Diplomatic Immunity.

Edit: I guess not, since we know Ezra, Sabine, and Lando, and there's gotta be a non-unique. Unless the Lando is a cruel joke and actually a weapon or something...

Not sure I really want another Anakin...... Personally I would rather have Luke. The robes almost look like young obi wan to me but i think they might have blurred out the face a little.

Best would be if Lando costs 9/12 so that eHan/eLando can be a thing! Although I'm guessing he'll cost 12/16 like Chewie so they pair if you only have one be elite.

I just hope he is a mill type character. I don't really know why it just seems right to me. If he is I want to be able to do eLando/ePadme.

He also should be like Finn but for yellow villain ability upgrades. I think Lando is perfectly capable of being a Crime Lord and Blackmailing people!

If he gave you access to yellow villain events that would be cool too. Nice and thematic.

I suppose they could make him neutral, but I don't think it's gonna happen. Most people only think of Lando as a good guy these days.

With Thrawn as Red, I wouldn't put it past them to drop Arihnda Price as his Yellow partner. She's underhanded and self-preserving enough to be really interesting in Destiny.

That blue dice still blown up looks like Leia in Bounty Hunter Gear in Jabba's Palace. But the only definite thing I can see is the dice is blue.

While the Grey dice looks like a droid I also get the shape of a Thermal Something.

I'm guessing they will save young Anakin and General Kenobi for a Clone Wars themed set.

I'm expecting Empire Strikes Back cards here. Calling Boba Fett now as a yellow legendary villain.

I too want to see Lando as a Mill character, and see him priced to he can run elite alongside ePadme to give us a truly powerful Hero mill deck.

I am torn on Thrawn I really want him as a character however I will be forced to use him at all times whether he is good or not.

Just as long as they don't make a Porkins at that point I couldn't play them both at the same time and may have to quit the game.
