LFG IRL South Orlando North Kissimmee FL

By Mark Caliber, in Star Wars: Edge of the Empire RPG

I've been involved in a EotE/FnD campaign for about 9 months now and that group is missing more games than we're actually playing now.

I'm looking for a weekly table based game.

I'm interested in participating as a player* and since I started playing this last year, I've discovered that I have a LOT to learn about the expanded Star Wars universe. Still I enjoy the rule set and I love the Star Wars universe.

I've got two of the core rules, 5 sets of dice, and and about a dozen of the X-Wing mini's mostly from the original movies era (EP IV - VI) and I don't use OggDude's Character creator. (It won't operate on my PC. Sure most likely due to my impatience and lack of technical skills).

I'm located 10 minutes from the Cool Stuff Games off of S OBT.

* Previous to 2016, I've been participating with weekly RPG's for most of my life and as a GM I tend to be a killer GM so we're not going to take that route.

Mark, it just so happens that I live in St. Cloud/Narcoossee (< 30 min drive to that CSG) and I was hoping to find some players for IRL gaming. My wife plays too, but we've had no real luck finding other players in the area since we moved here in the spring of 2015.

I own everything for the RPGs, and I too do not use a character generator program (a simple Excel worksheet and access to the books is plenty for me). I've played (and playtested) this system for years, mostly as a GM.

Oh my goodness! Awesome! Wow!

PM'ed Happy Daze.

I just finished working a 13h night shift. Let me sleep a few hours and I'll answer your PM when I get up.

Well world, things are progressing nicely.

HappyDaze & I are working to coordinate for a Session Zero in Late July (2017 in case you read this post several years down the road), and were interested in picking up another 2 players.

It looks like the rules for this game is going to be mainly EotE with FnD. HappyDaze is definitely interested in GMing and it looks like he has quite a bit of experience with the Star Wars RPG's.

I for one am quite hopeful with the prospects so far.

We have three participants lined up (1 GM & 2 PC's) and we're looking to round out the group.

Let us know if you are interested!

Also relevant to this discussion; the game is going to be played in St Cloud! Not to be confused with Cloud City . . .

This LFG is coming together quite nicely and it looks like we're on schedule for Session Zero later this month.

We just have two openings left for this group :D

I just saw the flyer/poster at that CSG. I noticed it said the sessions would be from 1700-2200. I would be willing to play but the only nights I would be able to do those hours would be Friday and/or Saturday, and I would have no problem going to St Cloud to play. Saturdays would be better, though. I live about 5 minutes from that CSG, but I work (in Kissimmee) until 230 on Fridays, so that might be pushing it to try to make it to St Cloud by 5 (considering I would want to go home and change and stuff after work).

I have plenty of dice and the core rulebook. I also have some of the specialization decks. I don't really use OggDude's character generator either. I like doing it the old school way with pencil, eraser and character sheet.

My email is [email protected] if you want to contact me. That would be the best way to let me know when Session Zero is and what night of the week it's going to be.

I've been in contact with players that have only the weekend free and others that have only mid-week free. I'm trying to see what will work best for as many players as possible, but even if I end up running with the mid-week group, I'll do what I can to get the weekend players in touch with one another.

Very cool.

So it looks like we might just spin off two (separate) groups in the near future from this thread?

HappyDaze

I accidently deleted that email you sent me with the contact info for the other guy that wants to do weekends. Would you be able to send it to me again?

Thanks
