Also, I'm 95% certain that the Rhymer Alt Art card coming out in the future has the updated text.

The downside is we already have an Alt Art Turbolaser Reroute and Rieekan, with old text.
Maybe gives us room to do squadron size alt-art title cards for Demo?

Enough with it. FFG did not come out with an FAQ to make you happy. By all accounts, Michael Gernes was upset with the top tables at Worlds, which has nothing to do with anything that you said. The only thing that you called was that Rieekan Aces was OP.
FFG did nothing to make you happy. FFG did not listen to anything you said in regards to nerfing or balance. FFG does not make decisions based on what you think or say. How do I know this? Because FFG does not accept unsolicited advice or changes to their games.
This has literally nothing to do with you. Just be happy you get to keep playing Armada.
@Undeadguy, I'm very sorry but I actually meant this as a joke in support of you. Really. Can I change it to be more clear?
You were joking about those things and I was joking about how that's what it would remind me of when people say that and armada is dead.

I thought you were trying to be lighthearted and funny, and succeeding at it. Maybe undeadguy was reading it through a filter of past interactions

He was, reacting to the other thread. We didn't get along at first but that recently changed. I hope he sees this.

Not with Rieekan anymore
Nah @Blail Blerg we're cool. I was joking and thought you were trying to deflect the nelson crap at me after you took all that in a different thread, which took me by surprise, and gloating over the FAQ changes. As I've said before, I like that you stick to your guns when you have an opinion. Not many people are willing to put a stake in the ground and defend it. You were right about Rieekan aces from the get go so it goes to show you know what you're talking about and I don't think it's fair people have labelled you as a troll. I do think you can get a bit overzealous though, and a lot of people react to that. It happens to all of us at some point or another. I know I've done it more than once.
So don't sweat it. I get the joke now ![]()
Just FYI, whe I was playing the SW CCG, and we got erratas we always just printed out the text in appropriate size, cut it out and just stick them in the sleeve with the proper card. It looks a little janky but you cover all your bases.
To be honest list printouts, With this new policy on erratas I don't see how FFG can justify requiring the cards if you have the models and the base tiles and proof that you are not over point limit.
Or you could just proxy everything.

I am a bit new to this - what are you referring to by their "new policy?" Do they require the cards to have the exact wording?
I wonder if the newer squadron packs with reword rhymer ability.

It was an old policy to avoid Pen & ink erratas, only to use them if there was a misprint or an exploit that needed to be patched. Well now they have gotten more liberal with erratas using them as a balancing tool instead of a maintenance fix. Therefore any wording is subject to change.
Five cards and the sky is falling? Most X-Wing players can deal with the probably 20+ cards that are FAQd to some degree or another and its not a big deal.
5 hours ago, Ginkapo said:Soooo, on a practical note, how are you going to deal with this?
Stickers? Put a print out of the new wording inside the card sleeve with the old card?
Its gonna be fiddly, so whats your solution?
Here is to hoping for alt art errata cards...
I've updated my website to include a section of Errata. Going to also add X-Wing's errata to it as well. It'll be a living document. Here's a link for now.

Let me know if you need some of the older FAQs. I have kept an archive for X-wing FAQs from 2014 (when the autoblaster FAQ was reversed). It helps me when I am looking up for certain rules that used to have an official ruling and ones that did (such as when the dial gate happened).

I'm gonna probably start working on the X-Wing ones later this week. Alot of work to do on Armada related stuff tonight and tomorrow, but yeah! That'll be helpful.

Okay, well let me know on how you want to send them. I'll PM you on the list. I currently have 14 earlier versions of FAQs to include the split formats such as Epic, Escalation and torunament.

KDY is my easy answer until FFG starts handing out replacement cards.

Why did I never see this awesome resourse before
What does the X-wing crowd do?
Gods know they have waaay more errata than we do.

From my POV - Complain.
Honestly, when you are hitting the "competition" level with these games, people are required to be familiar with the game, its rules, and the FAQ.
Its only in the Relaxed setting where there's the bit of crossover and laxity. I, as a TO, provide printed copies for perusal, but eventually, everyone who is involved in the local scene is dealing with local players, and we have a body of experts who inform people... I always provide links to FAQs (official and otherwise as required) for my Tournaments, so as a condition of entry, you've at least read them to understand.
Its about all I can do.
As a TO, I let people know that I'm going to download (to my ipad) the Tournament rules and FAQ the morning of the tourney and bring that with (Though I haven't hosted a tourney just after a FAQ/rules update). Everyone has been happy with that. If I ran any larger tourneys, I would look at printing a few copies off as well.
For me personally, at most, I'll print off a few labels and stick them to the outside of the relevant sleeved cards. More likely, I'll just remember the new text off the top of my head
