People have often said that Biggs is holding Rebels back - we can not get good ships because of Biggs. I would be willing to rip up my Biggs pilot card in exchange for an extra die on all my A-wings and all of my other T-65's being upgraded to (for free) to T-70's. What would you be willing to trade in Biggs for?

Can't really do that, cause then an X Wing will have the same green dice as a Tie Fighter, which it shouldn't. I'm not really sure what the solution is.

Since they balanced the ships around him rather than fixing him before it became a real problem, they'd have to retrofit a ton of statlines.
Things like the ARC should have 2agi, but combined with Biggs that would be kinda BS. If it had 2 agility it would be about as hard to crack as the JM5K, possibly even harder due to regen potential. If you had to go through Biggs first you might as well give up trying to kill it since even a JM5K typically doesnt die if it ends up in a 1on1 fight and its still full hp. Yes the ARC doesnt have the fancy dial, but it has an aux arc and regen so i'd still consider it worse to deal with - also small base so its harder to pin down.
Hell even the Xwing itself should be different. Xwings tend to take quite a bit of beating before going down, yet theyre barely more durable than a TIE fighter (questionably even more fragile with the hp to agility ratio potentials). But of course if Biggs is a thing the xwing should not get beefier.

While the situation is bad, it isn't as horrible as you describe it, and most ships are fine without Biggs.
Besides, Biggs is a problem, but the problem with him isn't what he does, but how he does it. In the fluff rebels often employ escort fighters to ensure the survival of their bulkier ships. If biggs were to nerfed, a lesser version of his ability could very well become an EPT in the future.
Quite frankly i always felt Biggs' ability should have been an action called Escort - Choose 1 friendly ship at range 1 and assign an Escort token to it.
Escort Token: When you are defending, the attacker rolls 1 fewer dice per Escort Token
Rebels are not the only one to escort other ships, the Lambda is usually being escorted as well and im pretty sure a band of pirates would escort their big carrier ship *cough* CROC *cough*
Somehow i played for a good 4 months without ever seeing Biggs when i started and i always found it odd there wasnt an escort mechanic, even for huge ships. Biggs shouldnt be the only ship with that ability, and the only two cards right now that share his ability are insanely difficult to even get anything out of (Selflessness being a 1 use means if its poke damage it wont do jack and it only blocks Hits, while Draw Their Fire only works on a single Crit and BOTH eat your ept and finding a good ship for them isnt easy)
I really don't think that Biggs is the reason that the T65 hasn't been updated. The X-wing doesn't need much in the way of a boost, just a little push. It wouldn't make Biggs OP, just more of a nuisance.
An inherent barrel roll would be nice or in the vein of the Vaksai title, the ability to take two mods.
I'd give you T65s with an extra shield and Barrel Roll if we got to kill Biggs.

The real solution is that if Biggs were removed (or nerfed to an extent he was no longer truly "necessary),
while simultaneously
other power-creeping effects were also toned down (JMKs generally, Mindlink, and possibly TLT? Honestly, I have like 10 things, but those are probably enough when combined with the previous x7, zuckuss, and palpatine nerfs),
then
rebels probably do not need some other "fix" for the faction, as now the things warping the power creep are toned down/removed.
That is much easier than trying to manually fix a faction. [Plus, that wouldn't stop them from doing new titles to bring other ships back, like B-wings, for example]
Honestly, I think FFG has decided that they have too much of the rebel balance resting on Biggs now to be able to pull that out, and have just accepted Biggs will be Biggs until they eventually release X Wing 2nd edition. At that point all the cards will be replaced and rebalanced.
What I give up for Biggs? Usually, about 2 turns of shooting.
Biggs is fine. There are (now) numerous ways to get around him (including the good old fly better).
I agree that his ability is extremely powerful, but its not game breaking.
I wish x-wings had a free barrel roll or boost though. That wouldn't help Biggs at all.

Theres way too much crap that simply cant survive w/o biggs. Thats the problem. But you cant flatout fix that when Biggs is still a thing, otherwise it gets ridiculous.
Biggs isnt overpowered, its the fact that he promotes insanely stale and same-same list building because hes so essential.

I... never use Biggs and I'm primarily a Rebel user.
BUT... I'd say allow T-65s to use 2 modifications (or an S-Foils card that grants barrel roll and another mod 3 points or less) and allow integrated Astromech to be used on any ship with an astromech. I haven't put too much thought into what combinations that would make that could BREAK the game but it seems like a decent idea. Whatever expansion this imaginary fix would come with SHOULD come with a replacement Biggs card with a totally different ability.

When i see a rebel list with biggs, i am pretty happy. its a lot of points into a ship that is not that good and goes down fast.
You need to out fly the biggs player and make sure you don't have your fire split, either get everything on biggs or nothing. It all comes down to flying in this game. If you cant out fly a T-65.... then you were beaten by a better player and that happens its not biggs's fault. In the hands of a good pilot biggs is good, but int he hands of a good pilot most ships are.

He is far from a crappy play experience. Fat Han was a crappy play experience. Triple scouts were a negative play experience, alpha nuking your list on turn 2. X/7 pre nerf was a negative play experience, because no matter what you did you were up against 4 evades every round of shooting.
Biggs is an annoyance, but not game breaking.

Nobody says that he is. He is not überpowerful. He just restricts list, because people rely on him. Rebel ships rely on him. Rebel design space is limited because of him.
