#role confirmed. Also DAMNIT truthi! You are ******* ending the day in the middle of the afternoon again....I'm literally going to miss the most important hours of every round. Some people have jobs that keep them from checking on forums in the afternoons....

Anyway, just getting caught up on everything now. I'll give thoughts soon, though the only thing that has stuck out to me currently as suspicious was GNiP's recommendation of no hammer day 1....we know how that has gone...

Bring the hammer earlier :P

Well, with 7 to hammer, I'm not gonna flinch at two. But keeping "experienced" players because they make good vanilla town can backfire. They also know how to play scum just as well. Just say'n.

Too few folks posting for me to get a bead on anyone. @Ginkapo vote on me was a joke vote. @Madaghmire was a follow vote, so no reason to retaliate vote on either one. @BiggsIRL is the loudest voice, but that's easy in a vacuum. Folks, get in here and debate!

You know, it may even make more sense to push them, since they probably wont slip up as scum as easily.

##vote Ginkapo

Thats three on Gink, I believe. I would encourage anyone else to give the man a chance to speak before voting. By best guess, -3 is scum turbo hammer range. Which would be pretty stupid at this phase in the game, but still.

Armada "On-Topic" was very eventful today. :)

Yeah, I think we were all pretty distracted.

They nerfed the things.

That turned into gink really quickly

## vote FFG

This moved quickly. I will need to read carefully what happens to get those votes.

I grin because I'm happy to be alive. Curious how that makes you nervous.....

No remorse at all? One of our own is dead. It could be you next.

Gink has already done the icebreaker vote, so I'll do a fishing vote.

##vote BiggsIRL

Penny for your thoughts?

Now what we need to look for in the jokevotes is a vote that doesnt seem random at all.

Here we have a vote with no reasoning whatsoever. Why Biggs? Not because of his moustache, but seemongly because he is Biggs. Onid later follows up by adding pressure to me. Presumably he votes Ard next to try and hit another experienced player....

This was all about chances of sith acolytes and the probabilities of how many in the game considering what roles THEY could get, not us

B******* excuse. Stop making your error worse. Plus there can only be two, Sith Lord and his apprentice so using the term Sith Mafia is just silly.

Of course I'm not scum. I did say it was a joke vote. I would have been sincerely surprised had anyone actually agreed with it. Granted, Mafia Wiki does recommend lynching experienced players first, but I do not subscribe to such an opinion, preferring instead to depend upon their wisdom as long as possible.

If it helps:

##unvote Ginkapo

I thought I had made it obvious, what with the ' :D ' and all. At this stage, I have no idea whom to vote for.

Biggs was on to something here. Why is Ghost buddying up to me? Its a good tactic for scim to try and join the town circle early in the game. Its not that big a logic leap to assume that I might be a ringleader in any town circle of trust. GNips seems to be buddying up to me.

Paranoid; that's what town should be during joke vote time. Scum love joke vote time. They use it to gain town cred. That's why we need to all act as scummy as possible so the people that look the most town are revealed for who they are! Scum!

##unvote Ghost

Erm.... so scum tend to buckle and unvote under the lightest pressure.... you unvoted because?

Do you intend on playing? You have been commenting on the main forum all night yet nothing here. Why is that. What are you scared off?

At least Tirion and Ard have been mainly silent elsewhere on the forum.

I never recommended a no vote day 1. I merely pointed out that those wishing to recommend one, and those wishing to defend one, should by now know the pros and cons and not discuss them openly, as that way the scum might not believe their threats to lych.

For the record, I am not buddying up to you. I was being sarcastic.

I disagree with the idea of the 'joke vote', purely based on the fact that it is a joke vote. Any vote made under that title will likely hold no weight, the votee assuming that the voter doesn't actually mean it. Thus, in an attempt to sarcastically say 'Ah yes, the Joke vote! What a great Idea!' I voted the person who brought it up. I thought I had clarified the fact that it was a joke with the stressing of the joke vote aspect of it and the smiley face.

See, I typically do not vote unless someone does something suspicious. It needn't be really suspicious, or even quantifiable, but a bell has to ring. Randomly voting during a 'joke vote phase' makes no sense, since if you're joke voting you don't have a reason behind your vote, and thus why would anybody go along with you?*

I then unvoted when called out for it in an attempt to prove that I wasn't serious about the vote, it being a joke .

*Speaking of which: HOLY COW PEOPLE YOU TOOK ME SERIOUSLY???

*lynch

So GNips. You dont like the joke vote phase because in its essence the votes are jokes.

You also believe we need to start pressuring players properly.

And finally you dont actually want to use your vote.

Is this about right?

Nope.

I will use my vote when I think it is justified. I believe that discussion should occur, and pressure given were justified by posts, and in that case a pressure vote is applicable. But as no pressure can be derived from a joke vote, joke votes are inapplicable. so a joke vote to get the ball rolling? OK, why not? It's recognized as such by most, and it's not openly stated to be so, implying that some pressure may be read into it. A joke vote from every player? That just spreads votes around too thinly and acknowledges that they are jokes. Who takes that seriously, especially when it's 1/7 required votes?

So. Give me while, I'll look over the thread so far, and if I find anything suspicious, I shall question said person, and if it is really suspicious, I shall vote said person.

It may however take a while, as Real Life calls me away now.

Call it whatever you want. You are stubbornly refusing to tarnish yourself by being involved.

I don't consider it tarnishing, just futile. However, if you insist that I must vote, then I shall. I don't have time now (just barely enough time to type this) so bear with me whilst I disappear for a while more.

Padawan Gink, my intuition says that you are just making this up, but I think you need to be more mindful of your actions. Wouldn't a sith make such statements? It seems that you have reacted out of anger at Padawans Mood, Onidsen, Vis, Biggs, GNIPs, and myself. Master Skywalker has warned us about the dark side.

Padawan Gink, weren't you the one that wrote, hmm, what was it, oh yes, the term "MORONS" during one of our lessons? Yes and now we have "THE JEDI MUST BE PURGED" next to our fellow padawan's body. Hmm, very similar handwriting...very similar energy...

I need to meditate on this.

Instilling fear is not a tactic we as Padawans are taught in our training...but there are those that DO use it, brother. It might benefit you to follow @CaribbeanNinja 's example and meditate on this.

Actually, while I'm not big on reading deeply into the flavor stuff, the sith rule of two might come into play. If so, we could probably assume some strong roles on that side, as well as at least one, possibly two others with non-town aligned victory conditions.

Or not. Again, I'm not a fan of reading deeply into fluff, but maybe in this case we should hold this in the back of our minds.
