I was wondering if you might push the deadline out a few days, as we Americans will be off the 4th, and most places will have a company holiday on the 3rd as well. A lot of people will be out of town (read: away from their computers) during that time.

So this ought to be a fairly obvious question by now: will any of the new FAQ be used in the current tournament, or will it all be ignored?

Most likely ignored since the tournament is ongoing.

If the new FAQ would be legal for this tournament, over half of the lists would become illegal

Was wondering about TRC, Demo, Rhymer, and RLBs mostly. Obviously the changes to flotillas would cause headaches.

How did it go?

Because someone asked me, here is my prediction for the round 4.
A few words ahead: This is in no way any judgement about the player skill. It is a pure predicion about the lists. Not about the missons, the players or the experience.
This is not a prediction about the result. It is more how i see the chance for the list to win and how close the game might be. A 10-1 would mean that i think this List will win 100% and the MOV might be even high.
And it is a prediction if i would play the lists. With my tactics. This is why there is such a favor toward squadron lists (i know there is).

You can now start to tell me how wrong i am, but at least say as well why .
And after the round you can even show me how many forecasts were wrong .

I did it and I love it!

If some more do it, we could have a game about the game with it. You add the points you were wrong in all the games and the one with the fewest points wins. Penalty for the loser: He has to clean up the Vassal cache! (I assume that is not possible, but still a fun penalty!)

P. S.: Of course this is not what your list is about, because you don't want to predict but evaluate relative list strength, but maybe in a future tournament we could have such a meta game (pun intended, haha). I would even do the organizing for this meta.

Ended up being delayed, he was forced to jump off before we got started. We're trying to intercept each other during mutual up periods either today or tomorrow before we try sit down and designate a time.

Very nice opponent. We played my capture the vip. I was able to deploy all.my fighter wing to delay.my combat ships. The Admo and liberty faced off the fighter wing and liberty as the my flottilas ran along my base line. Turn 2 saw the admo jump in front of the liberty and die to a perfect roll. The a wings and z95 also kicked in the side of his liberty and it finished the turn on 5 hull. The rest of the game saw it kill on flotilla and fail to swat the other 2 while it ran from jania light and my liberty reairing all the time. The other mc30 meant my liberty didn't try to persue to quickly as it had lost all it's shield and 2 hull killing admo. Jania light accounted for one flottilas and the liberty grabbed the second while successfully dodging the mc30. Tycho and shara both died but with the help of some flack accounted for 3 a wings and 3 z95

Great game really fun and great opponent

134 MoV for a 7-4. We played his Capture the VIP. I lost Admonition to his Liberty at the end of round 2 thanks to risky positioning, repairing the wrong shield zone, and forgetting that Engine Techs rams exist, while Lando's MC30 did a little bit of threatening to keep the Liberty back but didn't manage to ever get in black range of anything. My own MC80 went after a group of three flotillas, taking the first one out in one go but failing to finish the other two, whilst managing to escape what at one point seemed like certain doom through some well-timed repairs and a quick station stop. Madcat's Jaina's Light skirted around the back and helped the Lib and A-wings take out my flotillas, and Shara and Tycho blew up a few squadrons with the help of some incredibly hot flak dice before succumbing to the swarm.

A very well played game from Irishmadcat, and I think with some less unfortunate rolls it could've been a much bigger win for him. 'Twas good fun!

edit: Oops, I didn't see your edit before I posted. Oh well, two stories are better than one!
