Best place to sell my x-wing collection

By fistfulofforce, in X-Wing Off-Topic

Hey Gang,

Im just sticking to Armada and want to sell my 65 piece x-wing ship collection. Is there a place to sell them in one collection besides eBay? Thought I would see if anyone knew.

Thanks

There are various Facebook groups that you can sell your stuff on through. Alternatively you could always Ebay it.

You could also try your FLGS - I know several by me will put them up for sale there and either give you 100% store credit or take a percentage of it giving you cash. It also helps the local community as a player can more easily get into the game. Though 65 ships is a lot. You might have better luck (or get a better price) if you split it into two 30ish ship collections - especially if you have duplicates of a lot of the ships.

Have you also looked at barter town or the x wing trade thread here? Trade x wing for Armada?

pm me

eBay would be my choice but as you don't want to do that I 2nd bartertown - might have issues if it is your first trade though...

Where are you located mate? Are we talking dollars, pounds or pesos?

Other than that, selling as a batch doesn't get you the best price, but does save you sorting all the cards etc. A good compromise would be splitting it into factions; you still have to sort the cards but you won't be doing 65 trips to the post office, not to mention packaging them all separately.

I'm located in Indiana United States.

I put them on ebay we will see what happens.

Aaahhh, why are all those collections always in the US? It costs an arm and a leg to ship them to Europe (when the sellers agrees to it), and then you're always slammed with import charges on top... :(

More star wars crazy people and more reselling of that stuff.
Besides, the germans have their mos eisley forums, which sees plenty of second-hand sales, so that stuff never sees the bigger world. :)
In general, local european communities are likely to trade their models in their local communities.

I will ship to anywhere you want at cost. I pack them all tightly in tackle boxes for protection with bubble wrap and the big ones tight all covered in peanuts and boom they are on there way.

I'm newer to the game so I'm always looking to try and trying to find smaller collections. I would recommend breaking it down to sell so the price is the same as for the whole thing but spread out more so people not looking to spend an arm and a leg would be interested too.

Sold the lot on ebay already. So pretty happy.
