How Would You Rule - Orc vs. Chaos/Dark Elf

By wraith428, in Warhammer Invasion Rules Questions

Okay so its the orc player's battlefield phase. Has a Boar Boyz and two Squiq herders in his battlefield and just put a Follower of Mork into his quest zone, putting one damage onto the followers. He attacks the Chaos/Dark Elf player's battlefield with currently 7 power (2 per squig and 3 per boyz due to the damaged follower).

The Chaos/Dark Elf player a Sorcerer of Nurgle in the quest zone and 3 resource.

Here is the situation. Orc player says he attacks the battlefield. No one takes actions. Chaos/DE player says no defense. Now the Chaos/DE player takes an action to use the Nurgle Sorcerer to deal one damage to the Followers of Mork.

What happens now? Is the sorcerer's damage non-combat damage and thus resolved right away. If so do the follower's go to the discard pile making it so that the Orc player now has no damaged units reducing the power of the squigs and boyz to a new total of 3.

Thoughts,

You cannot play units, supports and quest during the battlefield phase or at the other players turn. (From what i can disern from your description you might be doing that)

But yes, as soon as the follower is damaged he is put out of play and the other units power will drop.

I think he is saying the Chaos/DE player had those in the Quest zone prior.

Yes the Chaos/DE group have the Sorc previously.
