I would love to create custom figures for my units, to add a little spice here and there.

I reckon if the game does well, we might see aftermarket bases too. Some fun hobbying potential there!

While I can see why they would not, because that allows for you to use miniatures which are not purchased from them, I think it would be a great idea because it would allow modelers a greater variety of conversion opportunities.

I guess it just depends what they see as their target market. Entry level miniature gamers don't need bare bases.

Tbh if they sold bases i'd probably buy them purely because i love basing my minis but i HATE BASING THESE ONES because theyre already fused to the base, and i cant think of a way to cleanly cut them off w/o damaging the model or ruining the base.

Normally my bases for minis are quite extravagant, as i seem to have the most fun on that part. But i just cant do anything with these because the model is in the way...generic sand + grass patches ftl...

I can see them selling extra trays.

They did do something similar w/ X-wing. You could buy extra stands.

Too bad they didn't do textured trays similar to the bases for the heroes.
