Here is a guide to using the rolling feature on boardgamegeek. It is not specific to descent at all.

edit: where do you find it?
I have never used it, but here is a link to the main WoW thread on BGG: WoW
In that thread, the second post contains a section called Dice Rolls which provides a definition (code) for all the dice, and a link to how BGG's GeekRoller works. Hope this helps.

@Any2cards: I actually copy-pasted all the item lists from an older PBF opening post obviously done be someone less thorough than you and never checked it myself. Which I definitely should have done. Thanks a lot for finding this.

As I already run upon this problem I can confirm !
one is traight and the other is like a comma/accent but above, some regional setting or programs' like word could use one for the other.
When unaware could be pain to find the problem !! ;-)
By the way .. any2cards as we are speaking of your amazing / usefull tool a thing that could be improved :
when too close to the end of the page display the item above the 'link' instead of bellow... I know it will not be easy ... but could be usefull! ;-D

I will add this to the list of requested updates. Please be aware that this one is going to be particularly difficult to implement, as everyone uses different screen sizes, different resolutions, different magnification settings within the browser, etc. I will have to give this some thought as to how I can achieve this efficiently.

As I work some times on the subject I don't think the screen size or the magnification will really matter (with some reservation for this last one as I don't know it enough).
Indeed the page displayed will always be bigger than your popup (I'm mainly speaking for items/skill not Heroes sheets!) ... if not, no matter what direction you display the popup, it will be cut anyway !
So from my point of view it's only a matter of calculating the place available between the "link" and the end of the page if lower than your popup swith the display.
But don't get me wrong .. even if the theory seems easy I know that to do such a thing is not easy to implement!! do the right calculation will be a headache !!
