About "Reconnaissance" mission

By Capitan Ludic, in Imperial Assault Rules Questions

Hello guys!

From "Reconnaissance" mission: "...place 1 holocam ... in a space adjacent to 1 of his figures."

My question is the following one: is a figure adjacent to the space where it is? In other words, can a figure place the holocam in his own space? I have found only the rule that say "a miniature is not adjacent to himself", but I think this is another question, since I assume there is difference between adjacent miniature and adjacent space.

Thank you in advance.

I believe that if you are in the same space as a token, you are adjacent to that token. I would check the Rules Reference Guide section on tokens though.

Edit: As a1bert points out, you have to put the holocam in an adjacent space. So you cannot choose the space that the figure is in. A figure is not adjacent to itself, and the space a figure is in is not a space adjacent to that figure.

A small figure is not adjacent to the space it occupies. (Distance 0 is not adjacent, distance 1 is adjacent.)

If the figure is a companion, it is adjacent to a token or figure in the same space, but I think the space is still not adjacent to the companion.

A non-companion figure is not adjacent to a token or non-companion figure in the same space, but you are explicitly allowed to attack them or interact with them in the same space.

(An adjacent space and adjacent figure is the same unless figures on blocking terrain are involved.)
