I think it's simple points tracker.

Btw there is at least once the elite echo base troopers would have missed based on range. You were attacking at range 2 and only had a 1 on the green die.

Alliance Rangers have a constant +1 Accuracy on their card.

It was not the rangers, it was the echo base troops, specifically when they were swapping their blue die for a red. They do not have intrinsic +1 acc that the rangers do.

They should. There's little more infuriating than missing the red/green attack from 2 away.
