We are going to play Prison of Khinn and I want to make sure not to make any rules mistakes regarding the Specters (quest rules: " Specters block movement and line of sight. Heroes may attack Specters as if they were monsters. ") that appear in the first encounter of this quest.
In that encounter, Specters are represented by objective tokens. The Community Rules Reference Guide says the following about attacking objects:
Attacking objects
• If explicitly noted in the quest description, certain objects (e.g. doors, objective tokens, etc.) may be targeted and/or attacked “as if it were a monster“.
• When being targeted or affected by an attack such an object is treated as a monster until the attack is resolved after the “5. Deal Damage” step of combat (see “Steps of combat” on page 6).
• While being treated as a monster, the object can be targeted by any game effect that targets a monster. This includes hero abilities, surge abilities, skills, Overlord cards, etc.
• Conditions that the object received during the attack, are not automatically discarded after the attack is resolved.
I would be grateful if any of you could confirm or correct the following:
1) The additional damage granted by the Shadow Soul works on Specters
2) The pierce granted by Otherworldly works on Specters
3) Heroes gain Valor tokens (from Glory of Battle or Motivating Charge) after a Champion kills a Specter
4) Because quest rules that mention "Heroes" do not include familiars, familiars cannot attack Specters
5) A blast attack on a monster adjacent to a Specter affects that Specter (this is the one I am most uncertain about because I am not sure that objects that can be attacked as if they were monsters count as figures for the purpose of Blast)
A big thanks to anyone who helps!
