Mine mapper is one of those things im unsure how crazy it'll be if at all.
Not many ships can even use it, and beyond range3 is a pretty wide area. Without a doubt it will mess up formation fly as it will block off choke points, but if its worth it is the other question.
I see it either being incredibly broken, or about as useful as Scavenger Crane - overall useless, occasionally the MVP upgrade

I'm pretty sure it'll be a storm in a teacup, except for the few cases where it's so annoying it breaks the game - mostly it'll be avoidable or mitigatable, but when it's used to make a fortress with a boms creen stopping anything getting in range of it... it'll just suck all the fun out of the game.
MOstly though I think it won't do much. LIke Tractor Beams, Kylo crew, and Boba crew before it, it'll see little use, and something less showy but better will be the killer thing from the wave. Probably Intensity.

I can see both sides to the argument as i don't have any vested interest either way. Is an EM token a proxy card? Or is it just that? A token that takes the hit when you are required to discard the requisite munitions card. I do like what they have done with the Mapper, it's just that with the number of ships that have both bomb and torpedo slots, they need to be careful they are have not booby trapped Pandora's Box as it is now being opened.
Speaking of scientists, how about we rename this card Schrodinger's Mine Mapper.

I second that! After all the bomb cards were discarded, they will remain undiscarded!
