A Gift To Scum

I don't personally play Scum, but I am IN LOVE with this. If someone does it, let me know how it goes:

Captain Nym

Havoc

Minefield Mapper

Cluster Mines x 2

Extra Munitions

Season Nym to taste (a turret is a must), and provide 1 or two other turreted ships, one with Cad Bane. You place in a corner and set your mines with mapper to be a border around your corner, likely using your debris for the same purpose. You keep your ships in the little mine castle, and then the opponent has to decide between shooting through the mines with Nym granting free evades to everyone, or taking clusters to the face, modified by Cad Bane.

Maybe something with ion turrets or tractor beams to force enemies into the mines?

Ah but you don't actually want them to go onto the mines. You want to keep the extra evades from Nym's pilot ability as long as possible, forcing them to choose whether they want to take the bombs or give you free defense.

Cool idea! 4 Cluster mines only allows for so much space to be covered. If you wish to retain actions (and you do, as you have no passive modifiers), your squad needs to able to consistently hard turn 2. Given that limitiation, this is the best starting position I could come up with. Proximity mines on the Y and the Spice Runner is actually a decent idea (obv. option being upgrading the Y-wing to another Scurrg and moving Cad Bane). The prox mines gives further incentive for your opponent to not run the blockade down.

Another option all together might be to go for passive modifiers and build to castle, perhaps like this?

You could then setup tighter, maybe like this, adding rocks to make it even harder for the opponent to navigate outside:

Can you discard both the EM token and the clusters themselves to Minefield Mapper? I thought it only worked once per card due to the way they're worded, but I might be wrong. If so that's awesome.

Yeah, that is an ongoing debate. I hope so..

I want it to work for all and then I see stuff like this and immediately rethink my wants.

This is why we can't have nice things.

Just fly through a single cluster mine, bump a ship, and demolish other ships while TLTs cant attack at range 1. Then when you split up and run your tlts fly over your own mines. :P
