How would I know if I have a fortune die associated with my strength? How do I get one if I don't have one?

Q's from one of my players:

How would I know if I have a fortune die associated with my strength? How do I get one if I don't have one?

See page 81 - Encumbrance:
"A character's encumbrance limit is equal to his Strength x5, plus 1 additional point for each fortune die associated with his Strength."

You would have the fortune dice if you spent the advance on it, at which point I believe you check off the little white box next to the attribute. Or write a number there if you can buy multiple, which I'm not sure you can.

Look at your career sheet, notice Fortune there (typicaly 1 or 2) you may buy this advance for Strength characteristic - and it gives you +1 endurance besides all other benefits.

WFRP3 Rulebook, page 37:
<quote>Fortune Die: The character can purchase a fortune die for one of the primary characteristics listed on his career card. This is a permanent addition to that characteristic’s dice pool and should be noted in the white square next to the characteristic. Fortune dice are cumulative. If a character already has a fortune die in a characteristic from a previous advance, selecting this advance again provides a second die to the characteristic pool.</quote>
